Olberman SUCKS!! He Just tried to Kill us OFF! He won't succeed! |
|
Edited on Mon Dec-27-04 09:06 PM by KoKo01
If I have to depend on "KO" to defend us in this Election fraud, or Kerry Lawyer, Hoffmeyer (sp?) to defend that Kerry has a "Secret Plan" then I know this is nothing but a repeat of "Selection 2000" where everyone was disenfranchised not only African-Americans" ...but that African-Americans will ALWAYS BE THE SCAPEGOATS...and MLK is wincing in his grave...along with the rest of us who have been cheated because of Election Fraud...from who knows how far back and our Dems are possibly as complicit as our Repugs...because they don't want to STAND UP FOR THE RIGHT TO VOTE FOR ALL OF US...but prefer to call every election as "some...disenfranchised Blacks or Dementia Elderly who just don't know how to vote.
THIS INVOLVES ALL AMERICANS...they WANT TO SPLIT US APART! And as far as Olberman's report...:puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:
He waited until Kerry's Lawyer trashed us to be sure before he struck the "dagger in our hearts" but make no mistake about this...he had "the word" that Kerry's Lawyer/Lawyers would CAVE long ago...but listened to us to get his "ratings" up... This report from him tonight was the "writing on the wall" about this.
It's over, folks. THE MEDIA HAS SPOKEN...using KERRY'S LAWYER AS THE "Nail in the Coffin" for us.
We are alone...it's up to us to DO SOMETHING...WE CAN DO IT...WE WILL!!

Power does not give unless it is forced to do so, so fight we must, today is that day, Jan 3rd rally Columbus, OH, then Jan 6th rally DC near Congress. This is our day, our battle, and it will be our win.

3. Yeah, I'm bummed after KO, don't know what to think |
|
I'm not so savvy as to know how to read between and behind the lines when it comes to legal stuff, and have been so excited about Kerry filing since we got the word Thursday, and then confirmed it was filed today (William Pitt here at DU) only to listen to Keith Olberman tonite and just go What !!!!
Was I too optimistic, dreaming my own pipe-dream. What's up with the Kerry lawyer saying such things as "lots of conspiracy theories out there" "don't read more than what is being said into our words" "Bush/Cheney won the election, there was no fraud".
I'm totally perplexed now and don't know how to feel. Like I was chasing my tail? Like I was following a detour? Like I am just too dense or far removed to "get" nuances, cause it sure sounds like we are so stuck with B*** and now no Kerry. Well, I guess I believed what I wanted to believe; hoped what I wanted to hope.

You are just making shit up-"Olbermann "knew" all about it and just toyed with "us" to keep his ratings up."
The media has spoken-that was Kerry's lawyer's statement. Blame Kerry. But Goddamn it, I don't find a goddamn thing wrong with what KO had to say. He was reporting it.
On the other hand-the rest of your post I agree with. But goddamn the minute someone in the media doesn't tell us what we want to hear-everybody is ready to kill them. It's juvenile at best.

and what's more KO was taking a well-deserved "dig" at the K/E team by saying they were "trying to be all things to all people" just as during the campaign. Seems to me that he is agreement with those of us here that it is time to take a stand. But in truth we do not know what is "behind the scenes", so it is difficult to judge.

and I've thought that for some time, because of the way that Kerry has handled the situation. I think he wonders at times why he's the only one who seems to care in the media and why Kerry doesn't do more to further his own case. KO hasn't abandoned anyone/anything, but I do think he's quite unimpressed with how Kerry has conducted himself and it is starting to show in his reporting.

47. I agree with you 100% on this. The Oregonian recently had an excellent |
|
Editorial that said it wasn't reporting on the possibility of election fraud because Kerry wasn't making an issue out of it.
I can understand Kerry lying low in the beginning, but as the clock keeps ticking away, the fact that he has not gotten in front of a microphone to address this, makes me wonder if the motions that he is going through is just an appeasement to those members of Congress who are raising their voices.
How do you expect Keith Olbermann not to see this too?
I was never a Kerry supporter. I voted for him because he wasn't Bush. I never trusted him. There were too many times he shot himself in the foot, almost deliberately. The last fiasco was the duck hunting episode. He never really clarified his position on the Iraq war, or the funding. He had enough on Bush, and Bush's failures to bring Bush down so easily .... ie all the lies, and misleading, yet never did.
I also have my tinfoil hat in place. He and Bush are part of the same club. Our government hasn't been our own since at least the end of WW2. We don't pick our candidates. They are handpicked for us. They managed to assassinate Dean quite effectively with the help of a controlled media, getting him neatly out of the way for Kerry to take the lead. I believe I read of possible vote manipulation during the NH primary, in the same districts that Nader had his recount in.
The die was cast and we had no control as the dice were loaded. Don't shoot Olbermann. He is only the messenger, and an apparently pissed off one at that!

biased "reporters" into every story they do that we sometimes forget that journalists are supposed to be unbiased and are supposed to cover all the fact.
Keith Olbermann was just covering what Kerry's lawyer said. If you're POed, be POed at the attorney.
Therefore, I agree here with Cispini and Generator. It's not Keith's blog - which IS STILL THE ONLY MSM COVERING THE ELECTION FIASCO - who should host your contempt. It's the weak-kneed Dems.

lawyer that filed papers in court today. I was dishing floaty hearts with everybody else for KO, he still has given us more coverage than anyone else on the networks, however it isn't reasonable to look to MSM, no matter who the reporter ( and how debonair he looks in the dark suit with the purple shirt and tie) to save us. They are owned by six corporate entities, they have no interest in reporting a difficult story, once it becomes a bigger story, they will have no choice but to cover it. They are irrelevant. I don't need Howard 'Twitchy' Fineman to tell me what the chances are of fraud or contesting this election. I know what I've read and seen in the past 6 weeks, and I've sought out media and become my own media along with a lot of great people on DU. Nobody watches KO but us anyway, he'll find that out. Didn't we raise his ratings considerably.
Weak kneed Dems a problem, absolutely. However, I will never believe Kerry is one of them.
Flame away Kerry bashers.

Kerry's strategy---Move along, MSM, nothing of interest here--is still in effect They clearly do not want to play this out in the court of public opinion and considering the visages of coverage I think I can understand why I think we are watching a game of chicken here--Each side, Kerry and Bush, is daring the other to go public media-wise with this first Whoever does, of course, will be at a disadvantage--Kerry because of SoreLoserMan image and Bush for sounding like there is something to hide I think we are watching the contortions of two sides trying NOT to make the mainstream media--and you got to admit--you don't often get a front row seat on a show like that--They seem to be finding new and creative ways to be unnewsworthy
This is a chess game that has to play out; the game won't be won with a single move--Think--David Bois, Kerry--these guys are reality based They think like smart people--everything they do has a reason--It's our job a) to have their back b)try to figure out what the hell is going on out of sheer monkey like curiousity

say that perhaps your DU Name is correct... I know that most of us want to have hope that "Kerry has a Plan" and it's proceeding at the proper pace.
But, for those who went through "Selection 2000" we've been there, done that and have had your same thoughts which now have us back to where we started four years ago.
Maybe you were here then...and just have boundless hope and will never believe our Democrats would cut us loose to let us lose over and over again...always playing out some chess or poker game where they know the cards in their hands and will win...but the folks who donate and work for them...never know and are always asked to believe in the integrity of the "Card Shark" or "Champion Chess Player" at the Political Table.
As for me...I like my politics more simple. And if you lose three times in a row when you have a "Simpleton run by Fascists" as a President...waiting for the "Chess Game" to finally play out...it too long a calculation for us to accept anymore...given our own time an money we have put into this "GAME."

because I got into the game very late--I was one of those people who was relieved that we even HAD a president in 2000--busy professional that I was--even though I could not stomach Bush from the instant he was was concieved--but I can use that sense now to realize that most American's don't want the emotional turmoil--and it is utter turmoil--to have to fight the fight of 2000 over again
That said, I think we may well crown Kerry--but there is a bigger problem even than this, and that is that there is rot of the worst sort within our society How could so many people be complicit in the crimes at hand--the election, the Iraqi war, possibly 9/11--
But Kerry is in his element with this. Please, trust his instincts and don't expect enlightment in a day--and if you feel like you are breaking down because of the unfairness of it all--think of Iraq--think of the crimes we are committing there--think of that injustice and it will give you some perspective--and we are all complicit there

15. No heroes = no disillusionment, no betrayal, no dashed hopes. |
|
Let's get real here. How much can you expect from any major figure in this country? I love John Conyers (for his whole career). He and others will carry out the fight with hour help. The major "leaders," political and media, could care less. They have their careers tied to not rocking the boat. It has ALWAYS been this way.
If you expect a former sports guy working for a network owned by GE (which tried to make Michael Savage a star!) to be our Saviour, save your energy.
NO FUCKING HEROES. Just stay focused on the TRUTH and it will out. Useful, effective leaders in political movements often arise out of the popular movement. Conyers is one candidate, there will be others.
If you want to be reality-based, forget the 'wish upon a star' approach to solving a problem that is in the lap of the citizens of this country, not the media whores.

Keith Olberman just gave us his usual 5 minutes of free MSM prime time coverage complete with coverage of "Recount Ohio: The Cherry Picking" (aka "What Are They Hiding?") and "January 6, 2005, What If A Senator Stands Up This Time?" So what if he said that Kerry's lawyer still thinks that Kerry thinks that Bush won the election? You were expecting Kerry's lawyer to issue a statement to the effect that Kerry is contesting the election and challenging Bush to a duel, pistols at dawn?
Chill.

|
Remember, Keith Olbermann has to defend himself against the Microsoft Borg, and besides, imagine the MSM implosion if Kerry's attorney suddenly and clearly, beyond the shadow of doubt, announced that Kerry DIDN'T think Bush won the election? In addition to the money flow, there need to be enough smoking guns to indicate that the election could have been / could be overturned. Then, Kerry could act surprised and say "well, I certainly wasn't expecting that!" and neither is anyone who only pays attention to the MSM.

Damn, folks, we're still in "discovery" mode here - nothing has been proven yet beyond a reasonable doubt! We have strong, but circumstantial evidence that something happened. But can you definately link it to Bush? Rove? Blackwell? Not yet.
Someone said it before, but I'd rather have ALL the treasonous bastards go down for what they did. That's going to take time. And if bush gets re-coronated, then so be it. But his downfall will be all the more sweeter when it happens.

Why would you depend on "KO" to do that? He's a TV personality.
Literally thousands of people are doing the work. Volunteers, some far from their homes working in Ohio and other places.

43. Olbermann is a journalist-a real one--he reports stories straight |
|
down the middle and the truth is the truth here--the Kerry campaign is sending out very, very mixed signals where the voting fraud issue is concerned. You may not like the truth, but there it is. BTW-Olbermann is still the ONLY MSM person covering the election fraud story consistently--how is that killing us? I say any coverage is better than NO coverage.

wrote him. If anything he was irritated by it. Keep trashing the only people that are with us on this and you'll find yourself an island unto yourself

57. That post is old. I was really blowing a gasket when I posted. I should |
|
have "low-keyed" it. I haven't watched MSM since November 2nd at 11:30 p.m. except for Olberman's show twice. Each time I've posted with steam coming out of my ears.
I've learned my lesson. I will never watch Olbermann again...just read his blog. Once one has been TV/Cable deprived the hypocracy jolts one's senses....;-). My post was OTT, I admit.. It was a rant. Every once in awhile the frustration level just get's too much..not fair to take it out on this board.

can you give to a guy who still supports the ludicrous idea that a "lone nut" assassinated JFK? Then he has Gerald Posner on and introduces the writer as the man who laid to rest all of the JFK conspiracy theories?
This only works if one is blissfully ignorant of all of the evidence that screams conspiracy.
