Ballot Loser Files Suit Against Senator Bennett
Dec. 28, 2004

(Salt Lake City-AP) -- U-S Senator Bob Bennett is asking a judge to throw out a lawsuit from ex-convict Cody Judy, who ran against Bennett in the November election -- and got only 16 votes.

Lawyers for Bennett say Judy has no basis for alleging that election irregularities contributed to his loss by more than 600-thousand votes.

Judy says voters got no pencils at the polls to write his name on the ballot. He also complains voters weren't made aware he was a write-in candidate.

Judy filed suit earlier this month against Bennett and state elections officials.

1. Bennett is a hypocrite
Bennett was there in the senate office building when they crowned Sun Myung Moon as the Messiah.
