Help from people in DC...
If I am flying into Dulles, what would be the best (and cheapest) way to get to where everyone would be? And where will everyone be? Not sure yet whether I would fly in that morning or the night before...not even sure if I have the nerve to even do this yet...But my nerve might improve if I had good info. on getting around from one place to another.

2. I would either arrive...
evening of the 5th or morning of the 6th...Can't decide yet. I've checked on flights, though, and can work it either way.

19. No
You would need to take a bus to an orange line station.

From West Falls Church take the Metro (Orange Line) to Capitol South:

Departing West Falls Church-VT/UVA
Off peak Peak Sr/disabled Miles Travel time
Capitol South $ 2.35 $ 3.00 $ 1.50 10.99 31 min.

10. Definitely!

There is NO metro service from Dulles into D.C.!!

The only way to a Metro stop is via either taxi or Washington Flyer, which is an automobile, BTW.

Once you're at the West Falls Church metro stop, take the Orange Line train (it will be the one to New Carrolton) to Capitol South exit (or L'enfant Plaza or Smithsonian -they'll work, too).

13. Does it still stop there?

I was just at Dulles and with all the construction going on I thought the merto bus stops got moved.

I could be wrong, though.

How will we know each other ???

It would be nice to meet other DUers at the rally.

Should we put a secret code on our signs or some such thing ??

18. Just wondering about your sign...
I'm sorta flying blind as well!

I think I'm flying in on the 5th. I have no idea what I'm doing or where I'm going! I've been to DC a few times, but it was on business at the Smithsonian, and we were driven everywhere.

I know I'll be lazy and take a taxi from the airport to the hotel.

I'll find everyone, that's all I know!

About making signs---are you bringing materials with you? Or will you find a Kinkos, buy stuff and make the signs after you get there?

Anyone have any cool sign ideas? I was thinking of a big sign that says, "Say Hello to WE THE PEOPLE!"

:D
