Contact Sen. Byrd re challenging electoral vote
just got this email

Supporting Volunteers in our Campaign
to ensure that every vote is counted!
---------------------------------------
12/29/04

A delegation of West Virginia Citizens today met with Anne Smith, State
Director of US Senator Robert Byrd's Charleston office. We presented Ms
Barth with a letter to Senator Byrd requesting him to challenge the
certification of the electoral votes until the legal challenges to the
voting in Ohio can be resolved.

Ms Barth commented that they were getting calls and messages in support of
the challenge. Please take time to contact Byrd and ask him to uphold our
constitutional right to a fair and open election process by challenging the
electoral vote on Jan 6th. Call 202-224-3954 - Byrd's Washington Office.

Ms Barth also asked for copies of NYT, Washington Post or other nationally
recognized news articles on the Ohio vote situation. She specifically
requested faxed copies of actual printed news articles, not web copies. Her
fax number is 304-343-7144.

Representatives of WV Common Cause, WV Citizen Action Group, West Virginians
for HAVA (verified voting group), WV Mountain Party, WV Patriots for Peace
and others attended the meeting and signed the letter.

Gary Zuckett, WV Mountain Party

3. Does anyone have newspaper copies of election fraud articles
to send to Mr. Byrd's office? All I have are web page links to online newspapers.

5. Byrd is the perfect man to do it. He's close to retirement or at least
he should be, and he's a scappy ol' fella.

:hi:

7. this is great that senator Byrd
may be the one. Why the hell should we have to worry abou getting just one senator. The question should be which senator dare to NOT block this electoral vote on Jan 6, those senators should be the ones that are ridiculed and their careers be over, because they did not fight for democracy. What am I saying fight for democracy, we just wan them to do what the law tells them to do.

9. Here's another good letter sent to Senator Byrd:
Dr. Leon gives his permission to cut/paste or crib as you will from his letter alreaday sent to Senator Byrd:

Dear Senator Byrd -

I am asking for perhaps what may become one of the
most courageous acts of your distinguished career.

I am asking you to oppose certification of the
Presidential Election of 2004.

Even a casual look at the discrepancy between
scientifically tested exit polls,
and the results in all the battleground states,
particularly Ohio, shows that John Kerry was elected
President on November 2nd, 2004.

In over 3000 elections all over the world, the
accuracy of exit polls has been scientifically
tested and shown to be accurate within a fraction of
a percentage point. The current invalid
administration is using exit poll data to question the
Ukraine election in fact.

We must apply the same standard here that is
appropriate to Ukraine, or to any democracy
that deserves the name.

In state after state, exit polls favoring Kerry by
several points swung inexplicably to Bush.

There is no valid explanation.

Much more evidence as well is being gathered
by the Conyers forums in Washington and Ohio. Again,
even a casual look at the statistics and anecdotal
evidence is shocking.

At its root, I believe that voting suppression
and manipulation is the greatest civil rights
story of our time.

I would also direct you to the filing
challenging the Ohio election, a cogent assembly
of evidence, at

Petition:

and here:

Injunction:

and here

I guarantee, Senator, if you read even a few
of these pages, the hair will stand up on the back of
your neck.

Thank you for your consideration,

Sincerely,

Garby Leon Ph.D.
Los Angeles, CA
