We MUST convert the Military Industrial Complex players into public works
THAT'S HOW WE SAVE THIS COUNTRY!

The truth is, these entities are far too big and powerful for us to ever get rid of, so if we must give them their 500 billion dollar a year fix - this money MUST go toward something our society really needs, like creating a 21st century mass transit system, saving our crumbling infrastructure, and providing universal health-care. But, you may ask, don't we need a defensed budget? Sure. How about one in line with our most lethal enemy's, like say Russia's. In that case our military budget should be $50 billion.

One of the reasons Americans resent paying taxes is that they get virtually NOTHING in return for paying their taxes. As you are undoubtedly aware, our annual defense budget of $500 billion is greater than all of the other national military budgets on earth combined! And for what? To stop four box cutters?

If Philip Morris can go into the food business, than there must be some practical way to coerce these corporate giants (with tax incentives, etc.) to move into more useful pursuits, in order to continue receiving their humongous corporate welfare benefits. Put simply, America CAN NO LONGER AFFORD its military industrial complex.

The way I see it, the only way this country can possibly be saved, is by ACCOMPLISHING THIS, and ABOLISHING E-VOTING!

2. Hey, I'll admit the notion is funny - kinda like saving the environment
Or restoring democracy in America. But we damn well better attempt it!

4. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Seriously, getting the MIC to re-invest in U.S. infrastructure rather than waste Uncle Sam's money?

There's no profit margin in building bridges that work.

But a National Missile Defense system that will never work and can be funded forever? Now you're talking!

6. No offense taken. I have no doubt that the neocons
would laugh themselves to death at an outrageous suggestion like this. So be it. Granted, it won't be easy convincing them to kick the habit re: that useless Missle Defense system! Rehab is a bitch!

3. Did I read, recently, that the Carlyle group
announced (supposedly by accident and prematurely) that bush jr was to be named to the board of directors? Thought I read an item to that effect and that the board said it was an oversight - something they had talked about in case of the even that bush didn't win, and that the blurb (on a website or press release or something) had been drawn up but wasn't meant for public distribution as there had been no board vote on the action... did I dream that item up? was it an onion piece? or did you (or anyone) read it as well?

Its to get their hands on the intelligence reports.
All former presidents have to option of getting 'eyes-only' intel. reports after they leave office. Most do not exercise that option...actually only ONE has...yep, GHWB...who is also part of the Carlyle treason.

They use the reports to position investments and world domination.
...but we put Martha Stewart in jail.

9. Thought I read it...
