If BBV investigations prove that Kerry won |
|
can states still deny him their electoral votes?
Would Kerry refuse the Presidency out of loyalty to Skull and Bones andor the DLC?
Could SCOTUS step in again?
I just sent a small contribution to Bev Harris--they need the bread to proceed with their FOIA and other stuff. I know a lot of us are tapped out, but I mailed a small check to avoid the online credit card fee, and I figure every penny counts if we want every vote to count. This is important because if the country survives, there could be more rigged elections unless we do something about it.

8. Except that I think Kerry has really thrown in the towel already. |
|
I'm not sure he'll want to pick up the reins of power if the votes are proven to favor him.

5. Yes Read the Constitution |
|
the Electoral college was meant to prevent the tyranny of the majority
technically... and this is VERY technical... the EC could vote for Kerry and certify the election for Kerry... and there is nothing they could do aboutit... now don't pin your hopes on this electors are chosen for their nnbinding and unflinghing loyalty to party, hence the EC is more of a formality.
The intervention of the USSC in 2000 was unprecedented and not even Consittutional, hence why Bush v Gore is supposed not to set any precedent.

12. Never misunderestimate the power of seniors. |

I noticed in another thread that the chimp is ready to privatize Social Security. Any electors with elderly parents or relatives could be in physical danger at this point.

21. No, the plan is to change it for younger people. Current seniors |
|
won't be affected.
However, I'm middle aged, so I am worried, since it is those younger people's taxes that would be paying for MY benefits. That won't work. So it's going to be a revamping of the whole system, probably opting out the current SS beneficiaries and those soon to receive benefits (not me).

23. I'd watch the clock pretty carefully on jokes like that. |
|
Don't be too surprised if Patriot II turns out to have some features that are retroactive - like provisions criminalizing the "terrorist" act of making threats against lawmakers on left-wing websites.
The power of seniors is gone with the BBV wind, unless those seniors faithfully vote Republican. The next election will have exactly the results the ruling elites want it to have, except possibly in a handful of blue states (unless Congress votes election "reform" nationwide).

9. Statement from johnkerry.com 11/3/04 |
|
Statement from Kerry Campaign Manager Mary Beth Cahill on Ohio Boston, MA – Kerry-Edwards campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill released the following statement:
“The vote count in Ohio has not been completed. There are more than 250,000 remaining votes to be counted. We believe when they are, John Kerry will win Ohio.”
It's still on their website

10. The vote counts in Florida eventually proved that Gore won. |
|
Did Bush step down and apologize? Did Gore end up in the Oval Office? I don't think so.
The actual vote counts are of no more than academic interest at this point. The fix is in, and so is Bush. We wondered if he'd hand over power even if Kerry unmistakeably won. Kerry has conceded. It's over. Even if we find proof positive, the media will bury it and obfuscate it and, if necessary, portray us as a bunch of conspiracy theory nuts and sore losers.

15. In 2000 that wasn't done |
|
before the electoral college met to vote, though! That may be why K/E didn't push - just let the votes be counted within the 11 days.
If it all was put on hold due to lawsuits, etc., then that might create MORE of a mess and NOTHING would be counted!

in Ohio and Florida are Republicans and unabashed Bush supporters. Then rethink the meaning of the word "counted."

24. I'm not saying I trust them |
|
I'm just saying that we do not have time on our side. So if we fire up all sorts of lawsuits, then the counting stops while everybody goes to court. We saw this in 2000. Then we finally hit the deadline for the EC to meet, and we're screwed (as if we aren't already).
I would assume that there are attorneys from both sides watching the counting - whatever that procedure is.

16. You're right, Bush did not step down and apologize in 2000 |
|
So if the actual vote counts show Kerry won in 2004, then might I suggest we all descend on DC and "help" Bush step down and apologize?
He'd realize soon enough that he'd be a better man for having done so!

19. Works as a movie plot, not in reality. |
|
We can't "all" descend on DC at the same time. Whoever gets there first is going to get shot, jailed, or more probably sent to Gitmo. That should cool the ardor of those who get there next, and so on. Even in the best case scenario, it'd be child's play for the Secret Service to get Bush out (assuming he was there in the first place) and then send in the military on us.
You wanna face down a tank on Pennsylvania Avenue like they did in Tiananmen Square? Be my guest. It'll do about as much good here as it did there. And remember, GWB wipes his ass on world opinion.

17. Yes but after the USSC illegally |
|
gave it to Bush. We couldn't do anything. It was also after the EV reported. I think Kerry is expecting to win and is just letting it happen as quickly as possible. Remember Ohio law says they can't count the provisional ballots for 11 DAYS (Republicans knew that it would be old news by the time they got to them because they know 90% will count and it will be a majority of Kerry voters because they scrubbed the Dems off the rolls). There is no way the media was going to wait 11 Days for Kerry to conceed. Matthews was calling for his concession while we were still voting here!
Kerry will win Ohio- I have no doubt!!

22. Kerry did win Ohio-I have no doubt. And it won't make a bit of difference |
|
As we all learned in 2000, perception is 99% of the game. Kerry conceded without reservation - game over, case closed, Bush is President. Bush doesn't even need the SCOTUS this time. Who is going to force him to accept the true results, if we can ever find them and prove them, in Ohio and Florida? The Republicans control Congress, the courts, and the media. Blogs are even now being marginalized as the tool of kooks and conspiracy theorists. Whether he supported Bush or not, Joe Sixpack now "knows" that Bush was reelected with an overwhelming majority of the electoral vote and a comfortable majority of the popular vote as well.
We have a big double handful of nothing here.
