Ha. Republican inauguration too expensive for Republicans.
<...>

"Attending the entire slate of events during the three days of inauguration festivities could easily top $10,000 in tickets and other expenses for a fund-raiser bringing a spouse or guest. Some who helped bankroll the president's campaign, particularly young fund-raisers or those participating for the first time, are looking for ways to economize or are just planning to skip official events entirely."

17. Thanks. You obviously have refined taste in actors.
Love Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, and Harvey was the only reason to watch National Treasure.

5. I wonder
if they'll figure out it is class warfare and they are at the bottem and have to be the gofors until they're found worthy...Just like Cinderella they're not invited to the ball for lack of money,(got the piece of paper telling them they are free to come, but it's not free)

7. And I thought some of the crap the Dems pulled was bad!
No competition here! And with all the world wide tragedy and the war as well. This is just sick.

...they donated the funds to tsunami relief.

8. Here's my favorite part...
'"This is obviously becoming the norm," said Bruce Bialosky, a California accountant who raised at least $100,000 for Mr. Bush. Conditioned by the cost of the convention, Mr. Bialosky said he was ready when it came time to pay to attend the inauguration.

"It's the price of playing the game, I guess," he said.'

10. OK, OK, OK. Let me get this straight
You don't want to pay that extra, oh let's say $5,000 in federal taxes on your unjustly exorbitant corporate salary, so you *willingly* hand out near-to-more-than-double that in cash and time to a man who promises not to take that money from you in taxes. Or you feel bad that you can't afford to. Sure, makes perfect sense.

13. Maybe we should throw a barbecue for the disenfranchised * campaigners.
We'll feed 'em a good meal, toss them another :toast:, and ask them, "You realize you've been had, right? You want to talk?"
