Organizers insist that congressional inquiry needed

Civil rights leaders, social scientists, elected officials and local activists will rally tomorrow afternoon for a federal investigation into allegations of fraud in the November presidential election.

The House Judiciary Committee reported after the election that it received some 57,000 complaints about voting problems on election day, ranging from a shortage of voting machines to glitches with electronic vote casting machines. The U.S. Government Accountability Office has launched an investigation into the complaints.

4. the Gathering's in Nashville, TN
You should be organizing your own actions in Tulsa. If you can't be in DC on 1/6, consider setting up rallies in front of your Congressmen and Senators' offices early enough on 1/6 so that they can call the DC offices to report your presence. Consider giving them signed petitions to fax to DC asking that your representatives refuse to certify the electoral college vote. Good luck with your own efforts.

2. Thanks for posting. Come to the Gathering -- let's pack Benton Chapel
There's a long description of the Gathering listed on one of the threads below. I'll kick it shortly to move it up.

Things are rolling here in the Orange State. Come learn from civil rights pioneers what we might all have to do to take our country back. It may not be pretty but it sure will be blessed. See all ya'll on Sunday.

3. Rally in Ohio Monday
There will be another rally in Columbus Ohio on Monday, with co-sponsorship by MoveOn and Progressive Democrats of America. Jesse Jackson will speak . . .

The trend toward disenfranchisement of college-age and minority voters in our state is a viotation of civil rights and we have much to learn from the leaders and participants in earlier phases of the movement.

Where-ever you are, find an action and join it. Each new local protest much be larger than the last in order to build an unstoppable movement. And that's what we're doing -- we're marching toward the new Pettis Bridge.

Be strong, be committed, be patient, and do not dispair.

Get busy. Get visible . . . Every change you get!
