GAY/LESBIAN DU'ers, please tell me how you feel about this.

Because I'll tell ya I'm kinda twisted right now. I'm amazed at the ignorant blank stares of the idiots who just helped this dick stay in the White House when I tell them that I find it personally offensive that they voted for this asshole who wants to impose his fucking religious beliefs on me and enshrine discrimination against me and my relationship in the Constitution because of it.

I mean, please.

At work we had our annual workshop "educating" us on what sexual harrassment was and general harrassment and hostile workplace environment was. Included in this, was a few brief words on "harrassing" co-workers about political choices.

Here are my feelings on this right about now:

I'm supposed to respect the political choice of someone else and not make them feel uncomfortable about our differing opinion of the best choice for President, meanwhile they voted for a prick who wants to promote discrimination against me and legalize it?

And I'm supposed to worry about your (right-wingers) feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelings?

Fuck YOU!

(PLEASE NOTE: THE "YOU" HERE MEANS RIGHT WING BUSH-SUPPORTING NUTS)

Furthermore WTF does Mary Cheney have to say for herself?

1. Mary Cheney can
Go Cheney herself.

Broken record time:
One more example of right-wingers shooting themselves in the foot, not protecting their own best interests.

It never ceases to amaze me.

I hear you though. Ok, the country just voted all over the place to rate gays and lesbians as second-class citizens, and you're just supposed to take it and like it?

No. This is just f-ed up.

2. I don't like this administration one single solitary bit, but I guess I am
slightly glad that mary cheney exists cuz otherwise I think we'd be marched off to the ovens. But I don't like her, either. Fine choice of parents SHE has! Harumph.

3. Regarding work, You have two choices:
1. Submerge your feelings at work and work with those of opposite politics and avoid discussing touchy non-work subjects. This you will have to do at almost any place where you work. If you go self-employed, then you will have to avoid touchy subjects with your customers.

2. Find a type of work where you only come into contact with Liberals.

5. I don't think satellitesister was requesting workplace advice.
She's expressing anger and frustration over the moral bankruptcy of the majority of Americans. Get it?

7. I don't even really discuss politics at work
it was the principle of the whole thing and the hypocricy of the right wing morons in this country and their insensitivity that really has me twisted for the next few days

4. That's a new one---"harassing" about political choices.
Another case of the right-wing co-opting liberal ideas and terminology. "Harassment" in the workplace concept evolved from civil rights advocates. And now it's used by the right wing. It means, "shut up, we don't want to hear it."
