Does anybody know who runs The Peoples E-mail Network/thepen.us?

What does the us at the end mean? I'm used to .coms and .orgs, etc. Not sure what .us is

This is from their website and it made my eyes cross.

How can I tell my message is being faithfully transmitted?
We have created an experimental function on the "Should we contest the election" issue action page that allows you to see the last 25 messages logged. What you see there is exactly what is transmitted to your recipients where they have requested digest service. In the case of direct messages, your comments are also transmitted verbatim with a prefix sentence stating your general position on the question faithful to your vote selection. If a separate subject line is required by the particular gateway it is generated in the same way. As a direct example of how this works, these prefix and/or subject lines come from the same function that generates the first line of the body of the friends outgoing invitation, which you can see if you submit any friends email addresses as a part of submitting the form. The additional prefix line is dispensed with in digest mode with because the digests themselves are organized by question title and the yes/no votes are provided by tally as well.

7. Who is allowed to use the .us ending though?

Most independent organizations use either .org or .com and schools are .edu
and government is .gov

This has .us and I'm curious.

relatively early in the game some participants passed the word to us that

in short, we are now the most optimum route for funnelling the voice of the
people, not to mention that each submission is mirrored at the same time to
each of your members of Congress, which the form also looks up.


they say the call for a million emails was an urban legend. get us
Buzzflash on this, get all the major bloggers to link us. we can make it an
urban reality.
