The Nashua Advocate: Call to Challenge, Re-Vote Now Officially Bi-Partisan
An excerpt --

"As thousands upon thousands of progressives the nation over work diligently to encourage U.S. Senators and Congressmen to challenge official certification of George W. Bush's re-election on January 6th, they find themselves joined by an unlikely and inadvertant ally: the Washington State Republican Party."

10. Notice Washington Repubs don't give a damn if they're called sore losers.
As a matter of fact, their stridency and absolute conviction is precisely what gives credence and strength to their position, because I sure haven't heard any reports that Vance and his fellow Repubs are "conspiracy theorists."

Democratic Senators, please take note!

12. But no Senator (much less a repug) said they would challenage Jan 6!!

.....The Advocate contends that this is a stunning new development in the Votergate saga, as the position of the Washington State Republican Party makes it impossible for conservatives to now claim that contests of election and calls for re-votes are exclusively the penchant of progressives. Indeed, any party which considers itself to have been wronged by voting irregularities is likely to make precisely such a challenge, and precisely such a demand in response. There can be no question that the position of Rossi and Washington state Republicans is directly and richly applicable to Ohio.

The Advocate applauds what now appears to be, in principle at least, bi-partisan support for a challenge of the official certification of the presidential election. To quote Rossi once more -- for once is not enough -- "you shouldn't be able to certify the election with 3,500 mystery voters.".......

13. I'm not sure I understand your point, Rodeo Dance...
...as The Advocate isn't saying that a U.S. Senator has yet agreed to challenge Bush's re-election on January 6th, 2005 -- that is, while it may or may not have already happened, and may or may not happen at all, The Advocate has no information on the issue either way at present.

The point of the article, instead, is that the Washington state Republican Party agrees in principle and has stated publicly (and with a moderate amount of mainstream media news coverage) that elections cannot be certified if "mystery votes" remain -- and such votes are a far greater problem in Ohio than Washington. Indeed, there may be 20 to 30 times as many "mystery votes" (or "phantom votes") in Ohio as in Washington. Yet the Ohio presidential election results are set to be certified by Congress in four days.

Frankly, I think if you read the whole article again, you'll see the point I'm referencing above.
