A Thousand ways to count your votes
There must be at least a thousand different ways our votes were counted after election day. Imagine an accountant having a thousand different ways of keeping books: A friggin Mess!

Well, that's the way our votes were counted: A thousand different ways, in a thousand different books.
As an example of what a mess it is, recall that some states took as long as a month to get all the numbers squared away. It is such a convoluted mess that even experienced officials needed a full month to officially publish the data.

On the other hand, scientifically sound exit polling is used to come up with data that immediately establishes the general parameters of the votes. So, being science minded, one simply has to conclude that exit polling has to be far more accurate than the thousand different ways, right?

1. At the very least the count data
should stay within the parameters of the exit polling.
