Do You Ever Get the Feeling That This Fraud Thing. . . |
|
Will just go down in history as just another Conspiracy Theory, ala, "Who Shot JFK?"
Don't get me wrong; the day after the election something told me that Kerry was bidding his time, gathering facts, preparing his case ect. I mean, they got away with the Kennedy assassination, Martin Luther King, Bobby, and they would have killed Clinton if he didn't have something on them. They did everything but for chrissake!
I come on this site all the time to keep up on the progress being made through all of this. I'm holding on by my fingernails the belief that this has to blow up somehow. The anger that is continually building within my gut will truly explode if nothing is done by Jan. 6. I'm almost to the point of becoming Braveheart in "never once did I swear allegiance to him!" Taking up arms, and beginning to become a revolutionary.
Help me out fellow liberals! I need to believe.

And they've always been owned by partisan private companies. Denial can cut both ways in a debate.

seems you are on the wrong forum. If you don't like the weed, have you been keeping up with the various threads (and other sites) that have discussed the election fraud? If not, take time to do so.
How do you like your crow, raw, bbq'd, grilled, fried, broiled? Just wondering!

not accepting the reality that is Kerry's defeat, but I don't drink the kool aid which seems to have become an article of faith around here.
I don't like anything about Bush or what he stands for, neither did I about Reagan and Nixon, but we got through their terms, and we will weather this as well.

29. The party is not plagued with problems, some of its members |
|
seem to be simply because they cannot accept how well Kerry actually did. Even if you accept the lie that the weed won, that does not reflect that our party is flawed.
Kerry won more votes than any candidate, dem or repug (including their beloved st. raygun) than any candidate before him. He won more votes than the weed, but you refuse to accept that, so accept what you know as reality.
Despite the MSM that refused to give him fair coverage, despite the swifties and the poor advice that he listened to, despite an FEC that has a majority of repugs calling the shots, despite the fact that the weed violated election law by campaigning on military bases and getting free coveage for his "pep rallies", despite the violations of the Hatch Act by members of the admin (especially Rovey) campaigning from the WH and their federal offices, Kerry won more votes than any candidate before him, excluding the weed. The K/E campaign raised more money than any dem candidate before him and it practically caught up with the B/E campaign, despite their 4 year advantage on it.
If we do not recognize how well the K/E campaign did, then we will be screwing the party, because we will be trying to fix what ain't broken. Yes, every campaign makes mistakes, and both parties need to refine their positions as the needs of its members change, but fixing what ain't broken is JUST STUPID.
The party in trouble is the GOP. The moderates and the neo-cons are at odds and their party will probably implode. We dems need to stay true to our values and our goals, we also need to recognize what we have accomplished.

31. It WAS Stolen!!! We are NOT in denial! |
|
There is more than enough to make a reasonable person think this election was screwed up. Of course - you won't know about any of it if you only listen to the mainstream media. If we ignore the fraud and try to "win" next time - we'll NEVER win - unless the crooks allow us to. Ignoring this fraud is the most self-destructive thing we can do!!!!
In the middle-ages people couldn't figure out why the black plague was killing so many because they didn't understand germs. In 2004/2005 we can't figure out why the country re-elected such a terrible president because we won't allow ourselves to even wonder if the vote count was wrong. Wake up and smell the coffee!!!!

They said the Republicans would never commit voter fraud and the country voted to live in pollution, have perpetual war and to have women do their God given duty of being chattel.

23. Well, I just don't want. . . |
|
to look back at this time and have to lump it in with JFK(God, I miss his voice). This is a pivotal time in our history, either we role over a take it, or we begin to do something about it. If we can't get it done by the established, law abiding methods, or get our leaders to stand up, then it's time to remove those leaders, forcibly if necessary.
I feel powerless through all of this. I'm like so many millions of other Americans that are not in the position, be it by education, status, material wealth, to take an active role in exposing this thing. I'm a working, upper/lower class working stiff who gives a shit and would give his life to keep my country from becoming the most hated nation in the world(shades of the Roman Empire don't you think?).

John Dean should know. He listed eleven impeachable offences that could bring Bush down and there have been more since then. It's impossible to keep the lid on that much corruption. It's all gonna blow sky high very soon and then there's 9/11 a whole other kettle of fish. Wait till THAT starts to unravel. But I often wonder why you Americans take all this stuff lying down. Why aren't you marching in the streets for health care, cheap drugs, real news and all the goodies that we wimpish Canadians and the rest oif the Western world takes for granted. More holidays too. There's a better life to be had and you could have it if you didn't spend so much on immoral wars on folks who never did anything to harm you.

"We" are not taking it lying down. "We" have not endorsed immoral wars. Some of us ARE marching in the streets. Sorry if "we" cannot be as fabulous as "you Canadians" would apparently be in an imaginary reality where "you" have to deal with all this shit.

but you see, unless you look at the underground press you will NOT get it....
Our wonderful free and independent press (sarcasm engaged) is way too concerned with the bread and circus of kobe, Petersen and Blake to give a shit about things that acutally matter.
Oh and don't worry when them coloreds (I use the language for effect) started marching down in Montgomery after Rosa Parks refused to give her seat up, the press was not covering it either, at least not the national press... but they are starting to cover this new civil rights movement, ever so slowly, partly because of this parallel and very much underground press. Oh and by the way when the press started full coverage, oh boy, it got many people's attention, across this cuontry and across the world. Rosa Parks is a hero, and so are the rest of the folks who brought us the original civil rights movement.
If you go over to the California board you will find out about demonstrations that have been occuring in San Diego, for exzample, a very sleepy, and to a point right wing city... but alas the only reason why our wonderful and free press (don't you love the sarcasm?) is starting to cover them. You may ask why? Well people like me are letting you in the big secret... shhhh... don't tell anybody, we are marching in this city... and it is growing.

I too have started to lose hope and think they just might get away with this whole thing. They pretty much got away with Iran/Contra. It makes me very scared and very sad to think we only have the illusion of democracy in this country. And when I think of how easily Bush got off when he gave information in his state of the union address to justify the Iraq war - which was all wrong - and Powell gave bad information to the U.N. to justify the Iraq war - and nobody says anything!!!! What have we come to in this country? In the last few days I've become quite depressed.

I'm holding out hope for something, anything. If it doesn't happen, I'm not sure what I'll do. I guess I'll just become a 60's retread and "Tune in and Drop out." I mean if this is the way of things, then I truly feel no sense of allegiance to our form of government. I'll probably go underground and become a "nonperson." Or, I'll become what the fundies forgot about, "Be ye in the world but not of it. For the love of the world is enmity with God." They just don't get it. But this is the final straw for me. Hang in there SuzieDem. I still luv ya.

41. yes i struggle with these feelings too. I am cautiously hopeful about |
|
Jan 6 though, since the election fraud issue (unlike Iran/Contra or even Watergate) strikes at the very heart of everything good and true about being a citizen, the vote. The vote that is at the core of our social contract re: the consent of the governed; the vote that was paid for in blood by many who struggled against repression and elitism and won the vote. Election fraud is a nasty slap in the face to every citizen, regardless even of party in the final analysis. That's why I'm hopeful about Thursday Jan 6th. That many will stand. Strength in numbers. Full court press.
