3. Our little unadvertised San Diego rally yesterday,
had about 300 people. I sure hope they have more than that. I'm hoping for 1000.

4. I'd be happy with Standing Room Only -- the place holds 900
and... there might be some kind of coverage, they were talking about it (vaguely) on a local NPR station (local news not national)

5. Hopefully a lot!!!!
I went to the one in early December, thinking there would be 5,000 or more. There were barely 500. I wish I could make it down there today, but I can't miss work.

I wish you all the best, and I pray that there are thousands and thousands and thousands of you out there!!

:bounce:

10. Air America doesn't seem interested in covering it, so "MSM' covering it
seems to be secondary. When even AA is AFRAID of covering it, we have problems with them -even more problems with the corporate controlled media.

9. Tennessee is sending four carloads from Nashville
and more from other major Tennessee cities. The four carloads left from our third Gathering, with 150+ in attendance hearing from a half-dozen civil rights warrior-pioneers, plus coverage (again) from the local CBS TV affiliate, a newspaper reporter in attendance and a 30 minute post-Gathering report broadcast live on the largest Black-owned radio station in Nashville.

We have also decided to rally in front of Senator Alexander's and Frist's Nashville offices on January 5 (11:00 am at Alexander's office, then proceeding to Frist's office) and to have a petition there to ask that local office to fax to DC the day before the 1/6/05 vote.

I hope that thousands show up in Columbus today, and tens of thousands show up in DC on 1/6/05. I'll be there in spirit.

17. You rock!!! Saw you were posting into the wee hours the night before...
...the presentation. Looks like you've got your star now, to help you search the archives if you get in a pinch like that again.

Glad to hear it went well, and that you had such a good turnout (not easy to do this time of year!) and especially that you've been so successful in getting media coverage. Now, if you could just clone yourself...
:yourock:

15. This is correct, the theatre actually holds a little over 850.
I worked there in the 1990s. Very beautiful, but not a huge place.

I hope they are spilling out the doors of the Riffe Center and halfway down High Street!

12. Warm weather, looks like rain, but nothing happening...
should be a BIG turnout if there is any serious interest among the public in this. Weather will be NO EXCUSE for small turnout.
