Kerry conceded because that way the repubs would call off their
lawyers, allowing Kerry's lawyers to do the research into the fraud. He can change his mind up until Dec. something. Does this sound possible? I was hoping it might be the case.

1. It sounds probable.
I will bet that kerry's lawyers are working quite quietly to get injunctions to seize and examine every touch scree macnine in FLorida and Ohio. I know they recieved many reports of votes that were cast for Kerry on these paperless machines that gave a final report of the vote being cast for Bush, and the poll workers were unable to do anything about it.

4. I hope so too
But I just think he didn't have the courage when it came right down to it. Remember RFK, on the flatbed of the truck in 1968 - that was the kind of courage that was needed. I thought Kerry had it in him.

5. He has the courage. I think he just wanted to put the whole thing behind
him and move on. However, I am not ready to move on yet. I want a full court press on getting those votes counted and analyzed for corruption.

8. I hope you are right
I just wish we could get some sense. God, I miss the courage of RFK. Someone close to me, thinks that Kerry was threatened. That may be, but that is why we need the courage of an RFK.

7. They PROMISED us that they would not allow our democracy
to be kilt like this. They said they would look into the BBV: Dean and Kerry said it. I don't want them to lay down and take it. The supreme court is at stake! Our standing in the world, the environment...it is useless to go on about all of it, but they did promise.

Granted, it's a small pic, but as soon as I saw this, I thought Kerry has a sly look. This was taken right after his concession.

I don't remember the exact wording. I wonder what he meant.

14. Do you guys remember the guy who talked to us from the
war room and was answering questions from the Kerry campaign?? Someone told him that their 10 yr old said Kerry really was a flip flopper for not fighting like he said he would and the guy from the campaign said that Kerry is playing chess and looks at things 4 moves ahead.

I remember reading that and wondering if Kerry knows something we don't...

15. You know, I kind of get that feeling because it seems so
uncharacteristic of him to just fade to black and slip away so quietly.

Kind of like children playing in another room, you only have to worry if they're up to something when you DON'T hear any noise.

18. I hope so. Does Kerry know how much this means to us?
I'm devastated. I'm clinging to the hope that this will be turned around, I feel certain they stole the election, it just needs to be proven. I pray there are people working to uncover it.

22. Oh bull. It wasn't about us, it was about him
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 06:52 AM by The Flaming Red Head
Did you listen to that concession speech? When he wanted to hug all of us, I wanted to puke on him; and then when he said we should heal the country and work together, I wanted to throw the TV, with him, the unelected resident, and the whole fucking yacht club out of the window. I mean, in the words of The Progressive, "how dare he." Just judging from that speech, he clearly didn't get it, didn't understand how important this was to us, so he gave us a Dr. Phil/Oprah moment. A hug? AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I was so disappointed when he gave in that easily and that early on. I couldn't believe it. I just could not believe it. It was awful.

Clinton would have fought. I mean they impeached him and he stayed our president, didn't back down one inch.

Who the hell told Kerry to concede?
