Just heard Senator Boxer say on 90.7(Democracy Now LA)... |
|
(about 15 minutes ago) that she wants to speak with Stephanie Tubbs Jones about election issues and she is trying to get in touch with her... Yeah babies! Sorry, I caught tail end and am at work now but this is good news on Monday morning 'cause we know the Honorable Congresswoman has a lot to say... Anyone else have more on this?
Oh, and that her WA office is swamped with calls... did not say what sorts of calls but we can imagine... Fax into her other CA offices maybe?

seems like at the time she was not aware of some of the fraud. I hope she's learned a few things since then.

I probably saw you there. (I was the one with the fuschia hair.) :hi:
It was a very encouraging rally; about 100-150 people it looked like. I didn't stay after the petition presenters went inside, so I don't know what the results of that were, but I assume she is in DC right now and they were just presenting the signatures to her aids.
They cannot ignore all these voices. Whether they'll take a stand is anybody's guess, but our voices are being heard, and we aren't going to shut up just because it's an uphill battle, no matter how many little squirmy roaches start running around here telling us to sit down and be quiet. (You know they start running out into the light when the Raid makes their hiding places too uncomfortable, don't you?)

24. I had to wait 10 minutes to get through to Boxer's office |
|
in D.C.
I told the receptionist that I was calling from California and that Boxer needed to challenge the Electoral Vote on Jan. 6th.
I also told her that I choose to live in California because it defends their citizen's rights and that Boxer will have millions of supporters here if she stands up and fights.
The lady sounded pretty excited on the phone and said that she would give the Senator my message.

At Democracynow.org, I could find no mention of Senator Boxer appearing on this morning's show. Is there somewhere we can go to hear a replay of this program?

30. Go, Boxer! Yes! Please use your mandate to defend our right to vote! |
|
We will never have a progressive president or congress again, if we don't challenge this stinkpot of an election. Make THEM prove that it was legitimate, fair, honest and transparent! It's not up to us to prove that it was legitimate, or that Kerry won. It's up to THEM to prove that shorting black precincts is fair, that secret source code and no paper trail are transparent, that touchscreens changing Kerry votes to Bush votes was innocent, and that hiding and altering evidence during the recount was honest!

33. Barbara Please Stand Up for democracy |
|
Little "d" democracy is for all of us, not the corporatists. I just sent an email to her office - I respect Barbara Boxer - she has been a fighter for families, children and doing the right thing since her days on the Marin County, CA Board of Supervisors. Barbara is short in physical stature, but a giant of a person. When she stands up for democracy on Jan 6th she will shake the world (I pray she will). She will go down in history as the most courageous Senator. Besides she just won re-election for six years and is safe for a while. I'd vote for her for President in '08!

35. I called Sen. Bingaman's office today (NM) and let them have an earful |
|
about standing up, because if this voting irregularity crap wasn't straightened out, Democrats wouldn't win another election.
I also complained about Richardson blocking our recount. I said we know there are problems and we need the evidence.
I ended with the question: "Who are you representing if you won't stand up for a fair vote???"
(I also told his office that Dems better not cater to the right...we didn't lose by 20%, we probably won! If they do...then the Democrats will lose their base. I said I either wouldn't vote or vote elsewhere...)
