The war vote beat me, admits Kerry
Telegraph
By Alec Russell in Washington
(Filed: 03/01/2005)

Senator John Kerry, the defeated Democratic candidate, has blamed his failure to unseat President George W Bush on the traditional advantage held by a president in wartime and his own failure to "connect" with voters.

Senator John Kerry may run for the Democratic nomination in 2008
"I'm not going to lick my wounds or hide under a rock or disappear. I'm going to learn," Mr Kerry told Newsweek magazine in his first interview since the Nov 2 election.

"I've had disappointments and I've learned to cope. I've lost friends, a marriage: I've lost things in life." He then pointed out that no sitting president had ever been defeated during a war.

He disputed descriptions of his oratory as "soporific" but appeared close to acknowledging that he had not connected with voters.

3. No - the Swifties for Truth Campaign of Lies Beat Kerry
No - the Swifties for Truth Campaign of Lies, Half-Truths, and Innuendos Beat Kerry.

I was there. The "SWifties for Truth" leadership included so-called swifties whose negligence resulted in the 11 August 1966 deaths of two American "Swifties" aboard Point Welcome - and the subsequent cover up - which remained covered up for over twenty years.

Those self anointed "Swifties for Truth" are a bunch of illegitimati - I know them - I was there - I voted for Kerry.

5. How's it feel to be tricked by Rove?
this interview was on the 11th of November - almost 2 months ago. A lot has changed since then. You just played into their hands. You have become rove's minion. The puppet master controls so many!

6. Not true
If you read the early exit polls, those who thought Iraq was important were in Kerry's column more than Bush's. Bush had the majority in the "war on terror" column.
