Sen. Bill Nelson has decided not to challenge
I just spoke to his office. Sen. Nelson has decided that the evidence of fraud is not "conclusive" and will therefore not vote to "overturn" the election.

1. He just lost my vote
the evidence does not have to be conclusive at this point. Nothing is conclusive until you go through the legal process and a court or Congress makes a decision. What a bunch of crap.

Bye-bye, Bill. I hope you make a lot of money in your retirement.

Because Nelson doesn't want to dive off a cliff for some pie in the sky dream that somehow the election will be overturned he should be banned to purgatory forever and replaced with the devil.

No wonder we lose so many elections.

I will only vote for people you will stand up with Conyers on Thursday. If they don't then it is time for them to 'retire' and give some one new a chance. I will not vote for traitors who are more concerned about their personal welfare then welfare of this country and our democracy. I see no difference between coward DEMS and their Repug counterparts.

20. How dare our representives fail to wear these?

An Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie (AFDB) is a type of headwear that can shield your brain from most electromagnetic psychotronic mind control carriers. AFDBs are inexpensive (even free if you don't mind scrounging for thrown-out aluminium foil) and can be constructed by anyone with at least the dexterity of a chimp (maybe bonobo). This cheap and unobtrusive form of mind control protection offers real security to the masses. Not only do they protect against incoming signals, but they also block most forms of brain scanning and mind reading, keeping the secrets in your head truly secret. AFDBs are safe and operate automatically. All you do is make it and wear it and you're good to go! Plus, AFDBs are stylish and comfortable.

21. You can not prove fraud
until you collect evidence, do investigations, go to court and get rulings and judgements.

Until that point all you have is evidence of fraud and there is tons of it. No tin foil required. You just have to open your eyes and looks at the existing evidence and data.

22. Check the rules - objection does not start any investigation
The joint session of congress will immediately split into house and senate chambers, each getting 10 minutes of debate and then they vote.

There is nothing that would stop any law suits if there are no objections.

Try two-hours per House to debate. That is, both the HoR and the Senate debate the issue for two hours. Get your facts straight, please.

So what does this lone senator you want to object do? Maybe juggle ballot boxes or try to balance a chad on his nose for his 10 minutes. Then when no one else speaks does he walk directly into the ocean or should he stop on the way for lunch?

A quick juggling routine will take care of the whole thing. Say, what would people think if the one Senator got up and spoke for 5 minutes and then no one else spoke and they went right to a vote? Maybe they could sign him up for one of those commercials for an airline (can't remember which one) where people get embarrassed and then want to get the hell out of where they are. "You are now free to move about the country"

they can contest the election for any valid reason. They don't have to prove fraud, even though that is the excuse they are giving for not contesting the election.

32. I totally agree with you...
...a pansy Dem is just as dangerous as a fascist Republican.

If the Dems cannot stand up against the obvious fascism and corrupt thuggery in the Republican party--then screw em.

True Americans who love this country, will fight against corruption and sociopaths who gain power. That's part of democracy. And if you aren't playing to keep our country free, fair and of the people--then it's time for another career choice.

if the evidence IS "conclusive"? . . . the way this guy thinks, we'd never need criminal trials of any kind . . . because going in, the evidence wouldn't be "conclusive" . . .

I think the stick up the good senator's ass is long enough that it's affecting his brain . . .

and betcha we find out Thursday that every Democratic senator is riding an equally long stick . . .

16. An objection would not lead to any investigation
The rules are quite simple. Once an objection is entered the joint session divides into house/senate, there is very limited debate (I think 10 minutes maximum for each and no one gets to speak twice) and they vote.

And what would they say? Maybe, "We don't have proof but if we had proof it would be convincing"?

More likely, everyone in DC would be protecting their children from the screwy democrats with AFDBs

Just a very bored intern to talk at (not to, since there was dead silence while I spoke) who then said "I'll pass along your message" in a tone that conveyed "not"...
Just because you reach a lazy intern doing her nails instead of her job doesn't mean you've learned anything significant.

59. Not all registered on DU are "true" and not all posts
(example -- this thread) posted on DU are necessarily honest. Disinformation goes along with the smoke and mirrors of those who try to discourage and interfere with the election fraud efforts.

The issue is not Kerry in office (though that would be great). The issue is saving our democracy, restoring the legitimacy of our votes!

As can be seen from reading the various posts in this thread, there are different reported results for the same effort. Why?

What are they hiding?
What are they afraid of?
