Has anyone else called Sen Tom Harkin's office?

I was wondering if anyone else called Senator Tom Harkin's (D-Iowa) office?

I called today, and spoke with a very nice guy. He was receptive and he said that, "Senator Harkin shares your concern about these matters and he is paying very close attention to the situation."

I asked if he could tell me Harkin's intentions on the 6th. He said he could not.

He then said that many, many others had contacted Senator Harkin's office, concerned about the same issue.

Harkin is incredibly courageous. He called Cheney a "chicken hawk" and has not been afraid to stand up for Bush, in the past. Harkin is truly a man of the people, voting for children's issues, health-related issues, rural farmers. He also wrote the Americans With Disabilities Act.

The guy on the phone asked me if I was affiliated with a group. I said absolutely not--that I was a constituent of Harkin's acting on my own behalf--and a citizen who is gravely concerned about democracy and the future of our country.
