Bush & Clinton both on Larry King tonight? Why?
The Larry King Show Tonight At 8 PM CST

Bush and Clinton will appear on Larry King in a effort to get donations from you to assist flood victims in southeast Asia. Is it not ironic that they are demonstrating harmony with each other just a few days before the electoral vote in Congress. I sincerely question the timing of this. If I had been a Democrat President, I would have insisted to Bush that we should go on the Larry King Show "after" the electoral count on January 6, 2005. Here we are demonstrating "harmony" when we should actually be demonstrating "outrage" to Bush for fixing the election. Now I know why Kerry lost the election and the recounts.

28. They did NOT have to go on there together. That's absurd!
No one expected it? Did you? Why would anyone expect to see Shrub and Clinton on the same talk show?

What they were really trying to do is show that Dem's are UNITED "behind' Bush in his 2nd term. So that when Jan 6 comes, and SOME Dem's speak out...THOSE Dem's can be ignored by the media as 'outsiders.' What a turn-coat Clinton is! He was on Larry King WITH Shrub to do "damage-control" for Jan 6...NOT for the Tsumani victims. Wake up, Clinton fans. Clinton's only Dem interest right now is Hilary in '08. What a disappointment.

For Hillary to run in 08, most Presidential election start at least 2 years before and its now 2005,getting an early start?

4. I could be completely wrong about this...
I think it's Bush the elder that's spearheading the tsunami thing, not W. They're doing the whole, chummy, ex-presidents thing.

5. There are very clear signs
There was a meeting in Wyoming.
There was a meeting with Kofi.
Now if ones is to look at the face of both Ex President .... one can see the disgust ridden all over as they look at Bush Jr,
Me think lots of shit happening behind the scene.
Me think lots of good Republicians are making noise.
Me see a tiny speck of light come Jan 6th.

10. A week ago, we were treated to the Bush spokesperson digging about
Clinton's "I feel your pain" style. Now, they trot him out to bolster Bush's credibility.

I'm noticing that GE/NBC will be holding a "telethon" on Jan. 15 to raise money....meanwhile, on Norville, you can see the "Americans as heroes" in terms of the relief efforts. The reporter from on the scene is saying that it seems like "the opinion of America" is changing (question asked by Norville).

Meanwhile, I am wondering....have we seen this much attention paid to the Iraqis we're killing over there? How come no telethon for the Iraqis who have no medical care, etc.??????

It makes me sick. Notice that Jimmy Carter isn't there with Bush. He made no bones about what he thinks of Bush in July and he's not going to enable the creep.

16. They got to
Jan 6th Indonesia host summit meeting for all donor countries.
Bush Jr make some very wrong move
1) He claim to lead a coalition of countries for relief effort
Australi, Japan, India
2) He claim to add UN into this coalition

This is Worldwide news on CNN
Reaction from around the world was not positive on the above

If both Ex Presidents dont get involve Us will be isolated.
Right now bridges need to be built and very fast to patch up the above 2 statements

Worldwide tragedy just occurred with possible dead count approaching
over 400,000. What is Bush Jr doing during this time making such claims. Does not go down well with leaders of all countries.

13. Clinton had the goods on Votes for Hostages and Didnt Use Them
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 09:23 PM by McCamy Taylor
because he felt it would divide America. I never will understand why he didnt go for the jugular of the man who left him 1. Somalia and 2. Linda Tripp, but I guess Clinton is above that kind of thing.

I am sure that he believes that getting aid to needy people in SE Asia is more important than political bickering between parties in DC.

He is a good man. It is nice that people like him exist. He has his job to do, and all the people trying to expose Votergate have their jobs to do.

W. looks very uncomfortable when he is in the same room with Poppy and Big Dog. Poppy gets sort of misty eyed. I think maybe Poppy would have liked it if his name sake had been more like Big Bill, and W. knows it.

17. Because January 6th is a NON-event
to most of the country, it is a mere formality.

Nothing of any significance will happen on Thursday, and maybe people here will start to come to terms with our loss more than two months ago.

President Clinton is doing an honorable thing in trying to help the victims of the greatest natural disaster in our generation, and he's not thinking about some pipe dream of contested elections, remember he didn't inhale, like some seem to have around here.

27. OK.. what do you want us to work on?
Edited on Tue Jan-04-05 01:05 AM by Clark2008
Because we don't have enough Dems in Congress to do jack-diddly. And, until we stop the suppressing votes and audit the machines, we will NEVER have enough Dems in Congress to do jack-diddly.

I have come to terms with the perceived loss - what I can't come to terms with is seeing miles of minority voters out in the rain while perfectly usable machines were in warehouses. I also cannot come to terms with the fact that the GEMS vote tabulator uses an easily hackable Windows operating system.

So, what do you want us to do?

18. So good to see Bill Clinton again!
I miss him so much!

If they show this again, I recommend that people watch it. The two men's motives are so in keeping with their characters. "Mama duck" Bush is doing it because he is mad as hell at people for calling his son cheap and unfeeling ,so he is going to prove them wrong. Big Bill is doing it, because he wants the US to regain the trust of the all the people of the world---including muslims---as a way to end global terrorism.

Clinton's speech about how bad things happen even to good or innocent people and can not be avoided is something that Poppy should have heard years ago. I think maybe he has spent his life trying to shelter his kids from any kind of suffering, and as a result they are unprepared for even the normal disappointments of life. W. is a grown man. He does not need Daddy to come rescue him--- from the press or from Karl Rove.

23. Nah, nah
The first I heard about US donations was on NPR about 12 hours after the fact--the US, according to NPR, had guaranteed $100,000 in relief aid for the victims

I fell over laughing
