WASHINGTON POST BREAKING: EXIT POLLS SHOW KERRY WON!
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 09:00 PM by TruthIsAll
Read all about it!

WASHINGTON POST BREAKING: EXIT POLLS SHOW KERRY WON!

According to Mitofsky/Edison, the National Exit Pool poll:

Has a margin of error (MOE) of less than 1%!
Is a randomly-selected sample of 13,047!
Results may change "slightly"!

How did he win?

Kerry won all regions except the South!

New voters flocked to Kerry 57-41%!

Independents went for Kerry 52-44%!

Moderates went for Kerry 57-42%!

Women went for Kerry 54-45%!

People said that Kerry cared more about them by 76-22%!

They said Kerry would more likely bring about needed change: 95-4%!

Kerry wins the popular vote by 2-3% after adjusting for characteristic weights!

This is clearly a mandate for change!

3. This is supposed to be a surprise? As a poll watcher on Nov 2
in Florida I knew that 6 out of each 100 (if as much as 6) voted for the current moron in the whitehouse.

The question is why did Kerry give in immediately.

10. Me too! Like others here, I don't need any bogus or misleading information
When I see a "smoking gun" like this, I generally run with it. I don't mind so much being personally embarassed, but it does great harm to the point I'm trying to make. A search of "Mitofsky" on WP, yielded only this:

A Dominant GOP? How So?
The Election Proves Only That the Voters Remain Closely Divided

• George W. Bush's popular-vote margin over John Kerry is the lowest ever recorded by an incumbent president -- slightly less than 2.5 percent of the more than 120 million votes cast, including absentee and provisional ballots that have now been tallied. Since 1824, when the national popular vote was first recorded, 14 presidents have been elected to serve again. Woodrow Wilson held the previous record for the closest popular-vote margin by a sitting president, 3.2 percent in the 1916 election.

According to the national exit poll, conducted by Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International for a broad pool of American news organizations, voters 60 and older were 24 percent of the electorate this year. (Hispanics, by contrast, were only 8 percent.) In 2000, Al Gore beat Bush in this age group, 51 to 47 percent. This time, the president ran seven percentage points ahead of his 2000 totals. That's a dramatic pickup. Had those 7 percent voted for Kerry instead, he would have narrowly won the popular vote and, with the same gain in Ohio, the Electoral College.

9. dude, what's with the dupe posts?
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 09:27 PM by utopiansecretagent
first you mislead by intimating that the WP has just come out with a breaking story about Kerry winning....

and then you duplicate it minutes later.

i've seen some of your interesting statistical analysis of the election posts, and that's cool, but come on, man...this is too much.

are you on some kind of medication? Did you forget to take it?

edit: i mean that seriously, too.
