I can't believe two months have passed. On that crushingly disappointing day, I would not have predicted the work of John Conyers et al and I would have thought "the masses" would have gotten more up in arms. Looking back, I see reasons for both optimism and ongoing disappointment. You??

I knew on Nov. 3rd that something was really wrong, I never had a feeling in my gut like that before. It was literally a pain in my gut, almost in my heart. I knew something was wrong, I knew Kerry knew something though, but at the time I couldnt' figure out what was wrong. Until about two days later, then I started searching for others who felt the same and ended up here soonafter.

Basically, yes, I think I did picture us being right here, right now, and we've come a long way, depite all the Disinfo and Borderline Freeps - and despite the media's refusal to cover it all. I think we are in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing. :)

2. 'Bout What I Expected

Because no Democrat has stepped up and become a lightning rod for opposition to the war and Bush's BS.

It's accepted now in the political mainstream that Bush, with both Houses of Congress, is going to shoot for a wholesale attack on the New Deal.

He won't get much, unless the Pubbies' threatened "Nuclear Option" in the Senate, repealing the filibuster rule, goes forward. If that happens, watch out.

And disappointment becomes disaffectation, which becomes discontent, which becomes action.

Be confident - you're not alone! :)
