From reading posts tonite, I think there was a good representation of DUers there (maybe a half dozen or so), though unfortunately I didn't meet any of them.

I was in dressed all in black as usual (aging hippie, full beard, long hair). My partner was there with her drum.

We may go to the Herbst tomorrow nite, not sure yet, its a long drive from West Sonoma, and we were scrounging for gas money to go to the rally today. We had to be there though.

I couldn't be there, I live on the other coast.

It looks like a good crowd, and I like the writing on the signs that I can see. I hope she does stand up on Jan 6. But even if no one does, the work of getting the truth and turning the country back to the path of law is still in its early stages.

I'm a little biased, but I love my native state.

It is hard for me to imagine growing up in any other environment than the Bay Area. I have lived in places like Portland, New Orleans and other areas later in life, but the SF Bay Area is still the best place on earth. I moved back a few years ago.

You won't find more open minded people and progressive ideas any where else in the country.

And when we start trends, the rest of the U.S. usually follows our lead.

Hopefully this rally to get Boxer to challenge and may be foreshadowing of the chimps fall from grace.

But first let me note that Dolores Huerta, civil rights heroine and Cesar Chavez colleague, gave a very nice speech.

Our local ABC news channel was there. But when I watched the news that evening, they didn't show it. But they had time for a horse getting pulled out of a septic tank!!

And the guy below with blue horns? He was passing out flyers about Verifyagra, Electile Dysfunction remedy. "For an election that really stands up....Tested and proven effective in Ukraine--now available in the United States.

And yes, the people were beautiful to behold.

As one who came of age in the '60s, I'm struck by how few young folks there are in these pictures. If the draft comes back, I guarantee you the crowds at protests will start looking decades younger.
