Doing what we can in New York
Got an answering service for Sen. Clinton so left a message. Talked to the main screener at Sen. Schumer's office who said "we are taking opinions on that issue" I identified myself as a registered democrat, business owner in New York. I also asked if Sen. Schumer would be posting his decision on his website and was told no and they took my address to mail me a response. As I'm sure is already assumed I don't think NY is very hopeful. I didn't do it anonymously as I was originally going to but the fact that I even have some fear over that is the whole reason for this. I don't feel safe in my own country for having dissenting views and demanding justice. I don't know if it will help the cause at all but I can sleep at night. If they want to come get me for loving the constitution then they have my address but I won't go quietly.

1. Speaking Of New York
Didn't Manhattan go something like 80%+ for Kerry? If any state spoke with clarity, it was NY. I guess we'll see how it's democratic senator feels.

4. This state is impossible to live in
and I'm way upstate which is the depressed, unemployment/welfare capitol of the state. Being a small business here is financial suicide, taxes suck, my city government is totally corrupt. The only reason I suffer this place is it's my hometown and NY is reasonablly liberal. I'll help vote both the bums out if they don't act like it. Try to become Pres as former Senator Clinton or Schumer.

I wish I believed that still made a difference to the people we supposedly vote for or against.

7. My Sentiments Exactly Shadow
I wish our votes mattered at all anymore. Since they obviously appear to not, I probably won't take the time to support any of them much longer. This country is in for some tough times, and obviously, it's every person for themselves. Don't expect our so-called leaders to be of much help. They just want your money and time when they're campaigning, not when the chips are really on the table.

10. i sent a couple emails to senators and representitive
i too had second, third and fourth thoughts on putting down my name. wouldnt mind so much if husband didnt own a business and these people use him. this is a big "small" town mentality. get tarred, afraid may be feathered too

but i did put name down. decided what the hell. went thru the whole scenerio with husband about putting kerry sticker on car. figured i could get away with that, not a sign in the yard
