Need Senatorial free fax resource & email faxing help for .pdf file

Last Thursday, Ojai Person and dzika posted free fax numbers for the senators Conyers suggested we target (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=201&topic_id=7570).

My questions are:

1) How can I get the free email faxes for other senators? Neither of my senators are on the list.

2) How do I fax a .pdf file? If I attach the file to my email, will it print out the 23 pages Contest the Vote sent me, or just say that there's an attachment?

1. KICK. Good Question.

It's easy for EFax subscribers; you just drag files into the "Documents to Fax" window inside the Compose Fax screen. However, not sure what to do about free faxes. Can somebody help?

2. I haven't tried this yet, but TPC offers free faxing...

Go to < http://www.thedeanpeople.com/>, select "Tools" and then "TPC Free Faxing Service"...

3. Thanks for the lead, but

that link is only for faxing a personal note to your senators. Worse, they don't have a fax number for my newly elected senator. I need to fax a 23-page pdf file.

4. To get your Senator's new FAX number I would suggest that you call

1-800-839-5276. I actually looked to see if there was a page limit at the TPC site and could not find one. If you can access a txt version of the documents and load it into your email you could try sending it using TPC. Good luck!

5. I have the new fax #.

But since I don't know how to convert .pdf files to text documents, I can's cut and paste the text.

7. If you have a program like Photoshop

or Illustrator, you could copy and paste the text. You could probably copy and paste the text from Acrobat Reader into Word.

8. No, you can't copy and paste from a pdf file.

Believe me, I've tried!

And maybe newer versions of Photoshop allow this, but my version is so old I had ot load it with floppy disks. Photoshop doesn't even have an update for my version on their website, it's that old! LOL!
