late election nite....wasn't there a DU let's go demonstrate in OH call?? |
|
what happened???
there were a lot of people 'signing up and packing and starting up the car and arranging car-pooling'
looking back, how many think the movement to demonstrate should have continued and grown???
from memory: there was a growing excitement and determination to bring disillusioned friends not on DU
could something have been done then that maybe it's too late to do now????

2. It is not the inaction of Nov 2004 to present that has me annoyed. |
|
It is the inaction of many since 2000, when they "knew Gore won", yet nothing was done and we are where we are at today. Then many have the nerve to try to discourage those here that are intent on keeping the election fraud issue alive and have it investigated. :argh:

4. We had 4 years to be ready for this |
|
Four years to have a plan. And our "plan" was only that we wouldn't let 2000 happen again. Well, of course, the repubs weren't going to let 2000 happen again either. They knew that they would have to pull off an orderly election, with no supreme court, no challenges, no gangs stopping the counting. This time it would have to restore everyones faith in not only the system, but gw himself.
So we had lawyers ready to fight legal challenges. And the repugs were one step ahead, by working it from behind the scenes. They had dibold in their pocket. They had all kinds of dirty tricks, so many that it would be impossible to catch them in any big one. And America has the HAVA which makes them feel like everything is taken care of.
They've been planning this a lot longer than 4 years.

6. Why are they so much smarter than us? |
|
I mean, to be so stupid, they always seem to be a step ahead. Maybe it's demonic forces that are upholding them, or the hypnotic sway that dictators have over the masses. I don't know. I'm frustrated.

3. There was a demonstration at the State House very early on. |
|
Sorry, it was soooo much reading ago, I don't remember the date. But it was within a very few days, and was probably an AP story. Something like "Outrage in Ohio".
