9. Is there any way Dems could file a class action suit
to recount? There are some outstanding discrepancies out there. Diebold has probably already refixed the machines so they will not show how they were rigged in the first place. I can't take 4 more years of dictatorship.

12. This attorney is asking for voters who had problems to contact him:
Got this in email:

Sent: Thu Nov 04 16:15:13 2004
Subject: Voter Rights

If you observed or heard of any cases where voters had problems voting on Tuesday using electronic voting machines, a lawyer from the National Voting Rights Institute (a public interest law firm) called me to find out about any electronic voting problems. (I was a volunteer Voting Rights/poll watcher in Youngstown, OH with Ohio Dems). They're looking for any specific voter who may have been denied the opportunity to vote b/c of a possible rigged or otherwise problematic electronic voting machine so they can bring a legal case on his or her behalf. For example, in some African-American precincts in Youngstown, OH, the Kerry button on the touch screen switched to Bush when you pressed it.

Email: jbonifaz@nvri.org . Call or email him ASAP if you have specific info or know someone who has. They've heard reports second hand, but to do anything, they really need the names of specific voters who may have been disenfranchised.

And Bev Harris is filing FOIA requests and needs assistance and funds:

16. Thanks to you and Green party. Rolling over and
playing dead is not my style.Any voting machine that does not give a printout should be abolished. It seems to me to be a hindrance to democracy. But, hell, what do I know--I am just a Democrat. These days of the Shrub imperial presidency don't mean anything.

11. Glad to see some "yes" responses here
I posted this about 24 hours ago and had a a lot of "what's the point?" responses.

Glad to see we are starting to snap out of it.

I will be there. Jan. 20 is my birthday, and I can't imagine associating that with the start of another 4 years of this crap.

Someone on my thread suggested we all turn our backs on him when he drives by.

15. It's DANGEROUS to expose your back to a criminal!!!!
I'd sooner throw a grenade at him......I don't know how effective turning our backs on him would be. All that would do is allow him to dig the knife in even further. All I know is that I feel I need to do something.

17. There's going to be the BIGGEST PROTEST EVER
at the "sinaguration."

My prediction.

I for one, plus kids and husb, will be there. And I haven't protested since 1987.

19. remember what they did to the protesters at the RNC? . . .
they scooped them up with big rolls of plastic fencing and herded them onto a dock surrounded by barbed wire . . . do you think for one minute that they wouldn't do that to however many people showed up to protest the inauguration? . . . or that protest leaders wouldn't be "disappeared" as threats to "homeland security?" . . . this is a whole new ballgame, and it's their field, their bat, their ball, and their rules . . .

22. Bring... it... on!
Truth be told, I've had a martyrdom complex for a while now. Fought all this campaign season for the win, but I never felt like it was enough... sitting comfortable in front of my TV and computer, completely isolated... that's the vast majority of America, and it's not how history gets made! History is made by those willing to get abused and arrested! The Women's Suffrage Movement, the Civil Rights Movement--Christianity!

Besides, to paraphrase my man George Lucas: "If word of this gets out, it could generate sympathy for the Democrats in the Senate."

21. It's still OUR country....don't let that possibility stop anyone from
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 12:34 PM by MPB4MK
participating in an inauguration protest. They can't herd us all away, out of sight, & sound. I honestly think there are more of us than there are of them. And we are alot more pissed off than they are, remember, there will be power w/numbers. We could even organize our own (Democratic Underground) protest march in D.C. that day. Point being, we can't let the Repukes think that they can just walk all over us, and we are not going to respond. Let them see, just how pissed off the REAL Democrats are in this country. I would also like to say that no matter what the outcome of a possible recount may be, I suggest a boycott of known repuke-owned,shrub-supporting companies. HIT THEM WHERE IT WILL HURT THEM THE MOST. IN THEIR BIG FATTASS WALLETS. THAT IS WHAT THEY WILL FEEL MOST. AND FINALLY, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR COMMENTS. I AM SO GLAD & REASSURED THAT I AM NOT ALONE IN MY FEELINGS THESE LAST FEW DAYS. GOD BLESS US ONE AND ALL.

Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 12:14 PM by puddycat
I don't even want to be anywhere near the stinking fascist *

But, if a protest is planned in DC and no solidarity rally somewhere else, I will probably go, just to show unity.

25. Only "Loyal" Americans allowed
You can be sure only those signing loyalty oaths to the Fascist in Chief will be allowed anywhere near the inauguration.
