The Rally for the Republic in San Francisco tonight ROCKED
I don't know how many people fit in the Herbst Theatre, but it was packed. I'd say easily 500 people.

It was very inspiring and very encouraging. I wish I'd taken more notes (and taken some pictures!), but the best thing I heard there was this, from Emily Levy (as close a paraphrase as I can recall):

"I have some very exciting news for you: JOHN KERRY WON OHIO...John Kerry received more votes than any other candidate. And when I say he received more votes, I don't mean he WOULD have received them had voters not been disenfranchised. I mean he received more votes, period."

A handout with the results of her team's analysis of over 60% of the precincts in Ohio should be available on http://usvip.org (the link does not appear to be working yet).

DU was mentioned as being an integral part of the data collection and analysis in this fight. :)

7. I was in Columbus, OH, but it is great to hear of other locs ralling
Great to hear so many citizens participated in our system.
We had a huge rally as well, the hall was pretty close to full even though it was very big. Many vocal citizens as well and concerned with what is going to happen this week. I wish we all could be in one place at one time, but wait on Jan 6th we will be in DC, hurray.

Thank you for the posting.
