I think I1ll go puke now.
Blackwell spokesman Carlo LoParo dismissed the accusations as baseless. He said Ohio's performance on Election Day was a national model.

"Ohio actually leads the pack in election administration and trouble-free voting," he said. "You start to think that the truth is a foreign language to Rev. Jackson."

3. Yeah, if trouble-free means waiting in line peacefully.
Personally, I'd settle for trouble-free counting.

6. Well, if Ohio leads the "pack",
that means fraud was more rampant than we thought before, since Ohio wasa obviously fraudulent :).

This means that Kerry, in fact, won every state right?

7. If Ohio is a model
then perhaps we should take a closer look at every state that went for bush.

8. Of course, there is nothing wrong with county officials
issuing false terrorist threats.

Last time I checked that sort of the thing is a federal crime.

9. "Ohio leads the pack in trouble-free voting"
The primitive simplicity of their minds renders them more easy victims of a big lie than a small one, because they themselves often tell little lies but would be ashamed to tell big ones. Such a form of lying would never enter their heads. They would never credit others with the possibility of such great impudence as the complete reversal of facts.

11. They always say the opposite of the truth.
That's the repuke modus operandi. They had an interesting teacher. I despise the press for allowing them to freely distribute their lies.

12. I hate them too
And just sent a short, scathing (anonymous) letter to the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper for their HIDEOUS editorial (from this thread: Cleveland Plain Dealer to Jackson, Tubbs-Jones: "Please, let it go"). Is this what the authors of the Constitution had in mind when they defended a free press?

We are in a situation so frighteningly like pre-WW2 Nazi Germany, I hardly know what to do or think. All I know is I am becoming increasingly angry with the "masses" in this country who are not waking up and joining us in the fight.

16. The masses listen to the mainstream media.
If I hadn't stumbled upon DU a couple of years ago, I'd be a happy idiot too. We don't have a free press anymore thanks to our congresspeople.

About that other thread, I almost posted "me to Cleaveland Plain Dealer, take a flying f*ck"--glad I decided to be a lady and didn't.

19. I was "ladylike" enough
...(though you know, well-behaved women rarely make history ;) but I hope the FBI doesn't come a-knockin' at my door for the last line.

It is true that people who rely on MSM have not been able to hear the truth about what went on on election day or afterwards, but I am irritated by those who HAVE heard some of this, but refuse to believe it, to educate themselves about it, and/or to take any action against it.

10. Ohio is a model to Republicans on how to "deliver" a state!
"trouble free" = "republicans won".

15. Absolutely.
After waking up to read Blackwell's fundraising letter on Raw Story, the "torture memos" in the NYT, and seeing the AP photo of the little boy who's sister and mom and dad were just mowed down by U.S. troops, guaranteed I'm going to be nauseous all day.

17. Now that is a stellar example of
"say it enough times and maybe it'll start to sound like the truth."

Sorry, won't work this time. If nine hour waits in the rain are a national model I don't think I want to emulate Ohio.

23. He is so right ...
... imagine how "trouble-free" voting can be if one doesn't bother to count the votes or follow the intentions of the voters.

In fact, they really don't need actual voters at all. GOTV operations become soooo much easier if all you have to to is GO a few people who supervise how the votes will be counted.

Yep, there's a national model there.

END OF DISGUSTED SARCASM.

And since "TRUTH" has been redefined as "party line" I'm sure Blackwell's "truth" is a foreign language to anyone with integrity.
