E-Mail for My Family and Friends
Edited on Wed Jan-05-05 04:19 PM by SaveAmerica
I've just realized I have done my family and friends a disservice by not letting them in on everything that has been going on. Please join me in writing to everyone we know about tomorrow's event, because if we wait and let them get their info from Rush, we know what color that info will be. Here's what I'm going to send:

Dear everyone,

Tomorrow when Congress is in session to make the electoral votes for the election official, John Conyers (Representative from Michigan) is going to object to the votes that are being submitted for Ohio. In case you haven't been following it on line, I'm sending you some information about why he is objecting. If you tried to read everything that has been found out in one go you might bust a blood vessel so I'm sending you links to condensed information. The first is a list that wraps up our election system in a nutshell. Please take the time to look over each link, it seems like a lot but it's really just the tip of the iceberg.

http://www.miamedia.com/votergate/20facts.html

Representative Conyers released a document today to show why they are objecting tomorrow, it details a lot of their findings (the investigation is ongoing) and gets more into instances of voter suppression and conflicts of interest specifically in Ohio. The document is 100 pages long but if you'd like a Cliff's notes version of what it's about, you'll find that here:

http://www.truthout.org/docs_05/010605Y.shtml

The official document is here:

http://www.house.gov/judiciary_democrats/ohiostatusrept1505.pdf

Watch C-Span live tomorrow at 1:00, if you'll be at work watch online:

http://www.c-span.org/watch/cspan2_rm.asp?Cat=TV&Code=CS2

Please take the time to look over these links because I'm afraid that if there is anything in the news about it tomorrow, the information will be misconstrued. This way you will already know the truth.

Love, me

1. I would add...
that they can watch the proceedings on C-SPAN tomorrow at 1:00 PM EST and if a single Senator signs Conyer's objection we could see the fireworks start.

Now that I'm looking it over, I almost wish I'd found out this way. Thanks Rep. Conyers, William Pitt, everyone for everything you've done to make getting this information out easier.

12. Change Link to Official document
If you copy it to use, substitute this link for Conyers' official doc:

6. I sent mine to family and friends a couple days ago with the headline:
Do you know what is happening on January 6?

Many don't because they don't get their news from the Internet and alternative radio.

I sent them the suppression videos, Conyers' letters, some fact sheets and a dozen links to groups and organizations to show them that MANY people share concern about our elections.

9. I hope you don't mind I copied most if it and sent it to lots of folks
I thought it would be good to include a plea to contact the senators. here's what I sent:

Conyers needs one Senator to object with him or his objection will be ignored. A huge effort is underway to convince Senators to stand with him. Please consider contacting your Senator today.

Here is a link where you can fax some of the Senators that are considering this:

http://www.lightwingarts.com/faxsenator.asp

And here is a link to email your Senator, regardless of where you live:

http://www.thepen.us/contest.html

If you read the information you will realize that the election fraud issue is not a crazy idea for conspiracy nuts. There are many serious allegations that warrant our attention and our very Democracy is being called into question when our votes are not counted.

If you recall from the movie Fahrenheit 911, four years ago no Senators would stand with the members of the Black Caucus who wanted to contest the Florida electors. Since then, several of them have said that no one asked them to. This time, we are asking them to. Please join us. We know that they are listening.

If you really want to jump in and read all the information about the election fraud issue, here's a home page with all of it:

Peace,
Gary

10. Version from a nitpicker who can't resist fiddling with edits:
Here's what I just sent to my list -

Dear everyone,

Tomorrow (1/6), Congress will meet in joint session to officially certify the electoral votes from each state in the 2004 presidential election. Rep. John Conyers, ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, will raise an objection to the electoral votes submitted for Ohio, along with a dozen other members of Congress. If, as expected, one or more Senators sign on to his objection, then both houses of Congress will be forced into open debate on the election "irregularities", and a whole can of worms will be exposed to the light.

In case you haven't been following it on line, I'm sending you some information about why they're objecting. If you tried to read everything that has been found out in one go you might bust a blood vessel so I'm sending you links to condensed information. The first is
a list that wraps up our election system in a nutshell. Please take the time to look over each link, it seems like a lot but it's really just the tip of the iceberg.

20 Amazing Facts About Voting in the USA:
http://www.miamedia.com/votergate/20facts.html

Rep. Conyers released a document today that details a lot of the findings in their ongoing investigation, especially about instances of voter suppression and conflicts of interest specifically in Ohio. There's a good summary here:

http://www.truthout.org/docs_05/010605Y.shtml

The official (100 page!) document is here:

http://www.house.gov/judiciary_democrats and click on "Preserving Democracy: What Went Wrong in Ohio" (or go directly to
http://www.house.gov/judiciary_democrats/ohiostatusrept1505.pdf )

It's highly unlikely that this will actually change the results of the election - that's not the real point. What it will do is expose the shenanigans that have been going on and that haven't been covered by the mainstream media. It will open a lot of peoples' eyes. And it will evaporate a big chunk of Bush's so-called "political capital". Then we can move on to fix the system for next time!

The session will be broadcast live on C-SPAN tomorrow (Thurs 1/6) at 1:00 pm. Watch or record it if you can, and look for the fireworks to start!

Regards,

Me

----------------------------------------------------
* btw, the disclaimer about not changing the results of the election is there to help it fly under peoples' tin-foil-hat radar - I do think it's highly unlikely but have to admit I'm one of those holding out a speck of hope for a big surprise.

11. Is anyone having trouble with the official document link?
When I click the link here, it takes me right to the document. When I open it from my e-mail that I sent everyone, it comes back with the message "The requested page could not be found" from the House of Reps.
