I, however, am still pessimistic. I'll believe it when I see it, and I will be very surprised. Then I will do everything I can to support that senator in everything he/she does from now on.

he/she will need our money and support.
They'll be hell to pay for that person in many ways, in Washington.
I am hopeful that someone will contest, but I'm also fearful that many may be let down if no one does. :(
