Wyden call was good

Wyden's office sounded good. The staffer said he "hadn't stated his position yet" but wanted to hear our opinions.

So I gave mine!

She was as supportive as could be. She asked me if I thought we should insist on a paper trail for all elections.

I said, NO WAY. We should insist on PAPER-ONLY BALLOTS.

Show me a voting machine and I'll show you a riggable tabulator. That's why the Republicans love voting machines so much. That's why they will do everything in their power to STOP paper-only voting.

"Paper trails" are good only in the event of a recount. And we have seen that Republicans will do everything possible to sabotage a recount. Just set the margin of victory to 20%, and on what basis can people call for a recount? ("the margin of victory was too big ... time to concede ... it won't change the outcome ...")
