8. Her mailbox in San Francisco is full // I couldn't leave a message
You can go to this website and fax 24 senators in about 3 minutes about standing up tomorrow...............

The senators listed below have been selected as most likely to voice an objection to the 2004 presidential election. We need at least ONE senator to object. Contact the senators below and make you voice heard.

16. Some emails not working
I sent about ten emails this afternoon from that site and three of them got bounced back as undeliverable. Wonder why? Wrong email address? Or perhaps their boxes are full?

These are the ones that got returned:

2. I got through in San Francisco...
Edited on Wed Jan-05-05 07:46 PM by Vektor
The lady on the phone was pleasant sounding, but obviously weary....
I told her to add my name to the list of suporters who want to see Boxer contest the certification...

(415) 403-0100 try this number!

She said they were getting a ton of calls, and thanked me for calling!
I hope it helped.

3. I just called. I'm going to call each office. I asked her to stand up for
Democracy. I know no matter what happens Bush will win. BUT, we need some one to stand up against what happened in OH and if we don't stand up this country will go down the tubes.

15. got through in Fresno! busy signals, full mail boxes in Sacramento,
LA and San Francisco.

Nice receptionist and she said they were quite busy.

She asked where I was from, told her Fort Worth Texas, and said "Fat chance of getting OUR senators to do that" and she laughed and laughed!

17. My humble opinion: this is a SIGNAL
I think she is "still making up her mind" to provide a cover for herself and others, probably for very good reason.

I think her statements that it will "depend on how many calls she gets" is a SIGNAL that she wants to come forward with AS MANY phone calls as possible, to strengthen her case. She wants us to KEEP CALLING. If she had declared her intention on Tuesday to challenge, people would have stopped calling. She wants to go in with HIGH NUMBERS.

Good!

18. Here's my fax to all 6 offices
Senator Barbara Boxer
U.S. Senate

Dear Senator Boxer,

You have the power to change the way people talk about George W. Bush for the next four years, and beyond. If you courageously act tomorrow, and challenge the electors for Ohio, we will forever be able to say that the Democratic Party did something to represent the American people. We will be able to say that George W. Bush was never elected by the people.

If you do not act, it will be said for 4 years, and beyond, that George W. Bush was elected by the American people, and he will have the mandate to tear down our democracy and economy, and good name. You will be responsible for the disenfranchisement, and/or deaths, of millions of people all over the world.

You have been given this power by us, the regular Americans. George Bush does not see his job as serving Americans. He believes this country is his to pillage. He sees no dead children in Iraq. He sees no hungry children here in his country. He sees no parents missing their children’s childhood because they have to work 2 jobs to pay the rent. He sees no one die from lack of health care. He only sees his rich friends buy new houses and yachts and companies, and take the jobs overseas. He doesn’t care.

If you don’t stand up to him tomorrow, you have become him, and everything he is.

And we, the democratic voters, will never return to the ballot box, again. We will have no reason to.

We’re asking for your vote. Tomorrow. On the floor of the house. Democracy depends on you.
