after tomorrow : should we fax everyone who DID NOT STAND ??
No matter what happens tomorrow, we need to start holding people accountable and letting them know that this IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

I think tomorrow we need to fax every House and Senate member who did NOT stand with Conyers and contest the Ohio votes (both Republicans and Democrats) and express our disappointment in their lack of willingness to protect democracy in America. We're willing to let over a thousand Americans die to supposedly bring democracy to Iraq, yet some are not willing to debate for two hours to ensure democracy here.

I for one will be expressing my disgust with anyone who thinks it is acceptable to make the poor, blacks and students wait in the rain for up to 10 hours to vote. I will harass anyone who thinks it's fine if Blackwell claims to run a fair election while being co-chair of the Bush campaign, breaks Ohio laws, commits prima facie fraud, obstructs attempts to inspect election results, encourages an invalid and illegally-run recount, disenfranchies thousands and then brags about it in a campaign letter. I will refuse to support anyone who likes the idea of easily-hackable voting machines with no paper trail. I will hold everyone accountable to the oath they just took - the oath to uphold the Constitution. </rant>

Does everyone think this is a good idea? Bad idea?

5. If they don't stand...
WE SHOULD FAX THEM EVERY SINGLE DAY UNTIL THEY LEAVE OFFICE!!

In fact, if you have a faxmodem or appropriate equipment, you can probably program it to automatically fax your congress-critters every single day.

Or every hour, if you are so inclined.

If they do not stand-up for us, NEVER LET THEM FORGET!

Can you imagine if hundreds of people call them and fax them every single day for two years to ask the same question over and over?

9. just testing the waters
I'm worried that one of two things will happen

(1) Something awesome will happen tomorrow and everyone will celebrate and than not do anything or
(2) Nothing will happen tomorrow and everyone will get depressed and not do anything.

Either of those is not good. We need to be prepared to follow-up.

10. Great idea!!! You can start with Nancy Pelosi...she said
she was not happy about this. Ummm, she is not happy. She and a select few have a "safe seat" to be elected, but not Kerry. It's okay with her, and she says it will upset more people, and make them unhappy with us!!! I can't believe it. She also said she is not looking forward to it. It's is all that has kept me going. Why vote, if it is rigged? Oh, so we can vote for Nancy!

Your idea is a good one, count me in. They must be held accountable. I don't care if their life is hell in DC, they are there to speak for us.
