I think
you will be pleased tomorrow.

Don't quote me. I ain't sayin nothing.

But I think, I think, I think you will be pleased tomorrow.

Reserve some TV time for the afternoon, if you can.

There's gonna be a show, one way or t'other.

But I think you'll be pleased.

Tomorrow.

Thanks Will for once again, being where I wish I could be and doing what I wish I could be doing.

Tomorrow, remember you are there but you carry with you the hopes and dreams of so many of us. We will be there with you if you take a second and "feel our presence".

Will you be blogging live from there tomorrow? I don't want to miss it if you are. I can't take the whole day off but will be scooting out for the afternoon to catch it on C-Span ... but even that is not as good as hearing it through your eyes.

Moving to Houston proper was a breath of fresh air (ok, it's not Austin and we ARE still in TX, but it was like night and day).

but the Electoral hearing does not kick off until 1pm.

The Gonzales hearing is bogarting the protest coverage...unless a Senator speaks up before then.

46. Will, what happens if a senator speaks up before the Electoral hearing?
Does the ball start rolling then? Or do they have to wait until the Electoral hearing convenes? How does this work?

Tomorrow morning is the fertile ground. A Senator speaking before 1pm will get the TV cameras into the gallery.

63. Oh The Things You Can Think...on the eve of the 6th
You can think up some birds
that's what you can do.
You can think about yellow, or think about blue.

You can think about red, you can think about pink,
you can think up a horse, oh the Thinks you can think!

Oh, the Thinks you can think up, if only you try,
if you try, you can think up a B*sh going bye-bye!!

-------

Think left, NOT right and think low and think high,
oh the Thinks you can think up -- if only YOU TRY!!

adapted from Dr. Seuss

Or, as my mother would say - "Ay vey, is it tomorrow yet?"

There are obviously forces at work here beyond our belief. Given the amount of evidence involved, that it is still a matter of "If," only 12 hours before the process begins.

Thanks Will for your updates, and we'll hope along with you these next few hours.

66. I Think
I will be pleased tomorrow, just knowing that so many people care enough to do what it takes to change history.

81. Someone darn well better be...
...taping tomorrow's congressional proceedings for the sake of those who'll be out protesting. If all goes according to plan (i.e. unless I oversleep my alarm) I'll be among the protesters in D.C. Lafayette Square to the Capitol! I'll imagine that the spirit of the '60's is back in full force, that'll make me feel better... imagine that Martin Luther King, Jr., is with me in spirit for the latest March on Washington.

I prob'ly won't be the only 20-year-old protesting in D.C. -- some of my peers better come out of the woodwork! -- but if I am, I'll do my part represent the "apathetic" youth with pride.

Any young people -- not including you silly but loveable "young at heart" -- reading this who'll be protesting tomorrow? Or who will be there in spirit on account of school or work?

And one big Howard Dean scream! Yeaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! Government by the people, and for the people! :)

85. I'll be sending my good thoughts south of the border tomorrow
It will be a good first step in electoral reform.

There's lots I don't like about Canada's system of government and how we choose our leaders, but at least I trust our elections. Elections Canada does its best to make sure everyone is registered. Voting could not be easier. Hell, they even make housecalls for those who can't get to the polls. Our last election was the closest in years - since 1979 - but no one questioned the results.

America can only remain a beacon of democracy if it reforms the process.

129. Not to rain on your parade
but two hours is what we get. It may even end a little earlier unless more Senators sign up to speak during the five minute timeslots allotted for.

Nonetheless, this is historic. This is Democracy. It may well be our last whiff of it for a hell of a long time so breathe it in, breathe deeply. And enjoy what we get. It will need to sustain us for a very, very long fight.
