It's the Electors, stupid!
We don't need no stinkin' DREs or Senators either. All we really need is the key to the room where the sealed envelopes are!

Failing that, do we know if Conyers or anyone else on "our" side has made an honest good faith attempt to contact and lobby the actual Electors? This is what they are there for. It's an Electoral Vote. The people do NOT elect the President, especially THIS ONE!

1. Lobby the electors? I'm not sure what good that would do now.
They have all cast their votes and those votes have been certified. Even if one changes his or her mind now that does not change the ballot that was cast in December.

From previous posts it looks like Republican electors in various states were presented evidence before they voted. It was dismissed rather haughtily by them.

2. Constitution and Fed Law gives Congress the right to seat electors
And that's the final word...Congress can seat
whichever electors they want to.

The electors were tied in 1800 between Burr
and Jefferson. Congress broke the deadlock.

Back then, Senators were unelected, had spine,
and the House chose Jefferson.

Let's try a new system.......>>

3. That's What They Do
Figure they'll do whatever it takes to win. Not sure we'll have any success with the repub members of congress. Too bad our leaders have such little conscience these days.

4. Before they voted is what I had in mind.
Didn't see the posts but I know it was being considered.

5. I know there were some strong efforts, Nevada comes to mind
The Republican electors, party hacks, I think refused to consider any information people had mailed them. Electors are usually the people who have shown strong devotion to the party so it was a long shot, but people tried.

6. But the actual electors aren't there, are they?
Don't they just have envelopes of signed votes from the electors?

Can't lobby them if they're not there....

7. I'd seriously doubt more than a handful may be in DC, and that
being Repubs for the inaguration, not as electors, since many are activists. It's normally a honorary position where the electors go down to their state Capitol for a day, vote, get pics taken and go home.

You are correct about there being a certified document of how the votes were tallied for each state. Congress accepts the state certified documentation for each state unless challenged by a member of the House and Senate.
