2. These are old results. Bush has 59.3 Million and Kerry 56.3 Million.
It's a 2.9 percent gap.

3. Those numbers are wrong

Just a couple of days ago, it was 59M to 55.6M. Now they've got 56M to 52 M?

4. I really don't like these maps, we must take into account that these
so called red states are half blue even if they are lying to say otherwise...perhaps it would be best to use more of percentage in each state, it shows way too many americans don't give a dam about what this country was founded on and I for one don't believe it!

7. That would be nice
A little encouragement to the Dem's in red states. Some were so close all we have to do is just push them a bit more. Instead it feels like we are just throwing in the towel on every red state.

11. Wouldn't awarding percentages also work for Bush?
Wouldn't awarding percentages also work for Bush?

He would get part of CA and part on NY, and he would still end up winning with the larger percentage of the popular vote.

6. correct me if I misunderstand this....
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 05:11 PM by buckettgirl
but I went to the yahoo link, and yes, it does show 56M to 52M for Bush. What I don't get is it says 91% of precincts reporting and that Bush won 31 states and Kerry won 20 states. If not all the precincts are reporting, then how can they know how many states each one won and why are they counting 51 states????
Never mind, i understand now, I wasn't counting D.C.!
what a duh moment!

It is referred to as a "state" in this case.

On edit: LOL, you caught it even before I posted this!

12. This is wrong, too.
New Mexico went blue yesterday (that's what I read anyway).

Which brings up a good question:

Does anyone update all the nationwide data (except us) as the absentee and provisional ballots are counted?

If you go to CNNs home page there is not a single link to election data. MSNBC does have a link but the data hasn't been updated since Wednesday.
