9. Just a little recap for those stuck at work

They are both speaking--so great!
Q: is there any chance there will be a reversal of OH electors?
STJ: The irregularities in OH deserve a hearing in the House of Reps.
Q: Did you talk to Sen. Kerry?
BB: No, he supports election reform. This isn't about Kerry or Bush. This is a wake up call to the Congress.
Q: Standardization?
STJ: States should be uniform of voting requirements, procedures. Money in HAVA was supposed to go to states to educate voters. There were NO regulations on these monies.
Q: The pressure NOT to do this?
BB: Absolutely not one person asked me not to. But there were some people who were not thrilled about it. So there was a feeling that I did this on my own. But I can say to my collegues, "Thank you" for not pressuring me to not do this. I've always said what the House and Senate loves to do most is NOTHING! We are making waves, and some people aren't comfortable with it. We are going to put out bicameral legislation on standardization.
STJ: My Ohio paper yesterday said "let it go" and I called my editor and said, "I can not let it go" because people have called me and said "I didn't get the right to vote". I took that oath (to protect democracy) and I cannot let that go.
