ACCEPT four more years of a criminal administration? Even a little fraud is too much fraud in my book. Why should we accept the outcome? Why are our Senators and Congressmen accepting the outcome?

America needs democracy NOW...not in 4 years.

1. Exactly!
This is making me ill. All are saying that they don't expect to change the outcome...nor is fraud being used. This is just a show.

3. they aren't presenting evidence of massive fraud
Nancy Pelosi just said "Bush and Cheney are the elected pres. and vp of the US" and she said the objection will be overruled. did you really think this was going to change anything?

5. Keep your shirts on guys, this thing is just playing out ....
The more the Repubs yell and scream, the better, then someone like Pelosi gets up there and shames them for calling our voting rights a frivolous issue -- let it play out before you judge -- it's happening.

6. If there was evidence, they'd present it...
...and this whole charade would be about THIS election and not election reform.

9. I think some people thought did. I didn't
This is all about passing better laws and more reforms. What is happenning here is not about the 2004 presidential election.

7. It is a stroke job to appease the "fraud" screaming and calling and
faxing and writing population. I am convinced we are witnessing a faux objection. Bla bla bla bla where is Patriot Act IV we need to vote.

14. Then close your eyes and move on!
This is historic - we the people caused this. They know we are out here, watching them, demanding of them that they perform their jobs and stand up for us!

We the People made them pay attention. If we hadn't rattled their cages, the certification would have happened already and election reform would be ignored, just as Boxer/Clinton/Graham's proposed legislation from last year was ignored.

We have their attention!

10. Don't it just make you sick. How can we let any fraud exist.
It reminds me of Ken Lay getting away with cheating the American people out of millions, and putting people in bankruptcies.
I am one that wants the election overturned. If there is any fraud we must correct it and re-vote the election like Ukraine did.

12. I agree
This is sounding too much like democrat apologies for their concern about voting fraud. Too much "we concede that * and C are duly elected". Once again our polite behavior is being slammed by the untamed Republicans.

This act in Congress today should be a wedge to challenge the whole election with committees to investigate the alleged fraud.

We are being appeased. I am not satisfied.

Now we should be on the march for Election Reform, and while we're doing that, we'll work for impeachment.

'Course I think * will manage that on his own.

19. This debate is great-election reform, BUT I agree w topic head
2 problems-election fraud and the outcome of the election fraud.
Senators and Representatives are placing doubt about the election. However, if the system is so flawed, how can they then say they accept the outcome. I know, baby steps, but still I need to vent.

28. You don't know that. No one here knows for certain.
The Democrats may have it, but until a legal forum is set up by Congress in which to present it, it doesn't matter to anyone but those who believe in truth.

It WILL come out. Sooner or later. And there will be consequences, both legal and professional.

21. Reform is needed regardless of this election
I firmly believe that there will be investigation into the behavior of the various voting and tabulating machines, and that eventually the truth will come out. I realize that isn't helpful in the short term, but this is a BIG deal with BIG fraud. How long did it take to bring down Enron from the beginning of the suspicions? Much investigation will have to be done. If the story ends with long lines in Ohio, no worthwhile reform will ensue. The whole point of this objection today was to bring some focus to the issue. The MSM can't ignore it forever if it's being talked about in Congress. If it's only talked about on political blogs, no one will ever know except political junkies. That's not a very big percentage of the population.

27. I don't think further investigation will be done
Now, if our guys were calling for a serious investigation into the 2004, then great. But that's not what they are doing. They are proposing future legislation.
