Wouldn't it have been more constructive to say, "I believe Chimp won, but I respect the gentlewoman from California m ust have a reason for this challenge, so I cede my remaining time so we can hear her evidence. I will make my judgment based on what she presents to us and not use this as an opportunity to promote myself as if I were a fucking brand of shampoo." It's take somew editing, though.
