He presented the scholarly argument that there were no long lines in his precinct. Then, as if in response to my uncontrollable cursing, the C-SPAN commentator asked him (as sweetly as possible) if he thought it was nevertheless possible that some other precincts could have had different experiences. He said, "Well, I don't really think so, I've talked to a number of people and they all had the same experience that I did".

81. "To believe that this election was won by fraud
you would have to believe that all 50 Secretaries of State are wrong."

It wasn't during the "debates". It was during what I think was a house session that was held before the electoral votes were counted. I had C-Span on while I was getting ready to leave for work and I was mostly listening rather than watching. Various members were making statements about different things and some were making remarks about the challenge to the votes that they knew was coming. I heard one "gentleman" make the above remark (or something close to it) but I don't know who it was. I nearly choked on my orange juice. All I could think was "For a congressman, he has some pretty poor math skills."

"Stop beating a dead horse." {Hmm, I don't see any dead horses. Just horses' asses.}

To those investigating and contesting in Ohio: "Pack your bags and go home." (as if they are from elsewhere -- hello, they LIVE there for the most part)

"We were all elected. We're living proof the system works." They actually said something close to that. "If we question the process, we question our own legitimacy." {Hmmm, getting close to the truth, aren't we.}

"Anything that was done to cause a fraudulent election would have to have been done by the bipartisan boards of both Republicans and Democrats, so that means no fraud could have happened."

"Kerry conceded, and Bush got a mandate, and we're too busy anyway. We need to get on with our work."

85. How about first we list DEMOCRATS excuses for ignoring vote fraud?
I am a democrat. I vote for democrats. I am not voting Green next time (though I think we should start challenging democrats with more progressive/motivated democrats in the primaries). But I would like to know what the democrats excuse is for ignoring the voting rights of valuable constituents.

88. I loved this one
"The Ohio election was clean and fair. Three Ohio newspapers -- two of which endorsed Kerry -- said so." - Senator Voinovich, R-OH

(Not verbatim but that was his general self-deluded gist)
