They would have had him to point at. As it was they had to point at a ghost.

1. reassures me i made the right choice going green.
i don't regret working my ass trying to get kerry elected, but i did expect better from him.

but there is no democratic party left that i can see. if there is, it's ailing, and it needs a backbone.

9. I heard that too
so it's about the voters and not John Kerry. Kerry coulnd't have been there for this to work.

12. A compliment from a Repug is a good thing?
Lieberman and Zell get regular compliments from those insects. I wonder why?

13. I never said it was necessarily a good thing. I'm just glad that...
...someone finally forced the children to say it.

10. I think it would have been worse if he were here and had not
spoke. But also think if he had been here and spoke maybe read the letter from yesterday it would have gone over well to.

11. Repugs have never had a problem with pointing at ghosts.
It's what they do. The problem for Kerry is that he wasn't here to respond to the Repugs whines or to defend the vote, and he should have been.

Kerry was MIA on this battle today, and the right-wing media are going to waste no time in pointing that out.

14. No it was better this way
Kerry would have been a lightening rod. He knows Congress and made the right call. Now the media, hopefully, will put the attention where it belongs--on the need for election reform.

16. Kerry
He knows he won. That's why it is so sad he wouldn't invest himself.
