Scary.

On edit: original post said only Boxer voted aye--edited as suggested to add Levin, who also voted aye.

14. Most who stood in support of her said they would NOT be officially
voting "I" ...

They supported the discussion but chose not to try and overturn the election.

Makes sense to me.

15. Can't you all see that the Dems spoke with unity for once?
You all need to realize that for many of us this ISNT about
de-certifying the electors but about electoral justice...don't diss
the people who had the guts to stand up

28. So, essentially, this is about justice without the Justice.
The message was unifyingly incoherent in my book.

32. You mean framing it about Electoral process and not the Electoral result?
I think they did a brilliant job of framing the debate, while the Republicans just cite editorials and completely ignore a franchise that no "real" American can argue against?

35. agreed
I agree, the GOP has framed this debate today as nothing more than "bad sportsmanship" and "sour grapes".

Justice without the justice. What did they have to lose by standing with Boxer? I would venture to say that the majority of their supporters would support their affirmative vote on this.

36. Boxer and Levin are the only true Democrats in the Senate.
I salute them, while spitting on everyone else.

You just know that if this was somehow reversed and Kerry (yeah, right) stole the election, the Republicans would all stand in unity. Sigh.

38. You are absolutely right.
Every single Senator should have voted Aye. It wouldn't have overturned the election, but it would have shown the American people the Democrats take seriously the necessity of election reform. The Democrats had a chance to take a stand on a HUGE issue, and they blew it.
