1. It's a political non-starter for them; they don't see a 'win' in it.

26. There's nothing but a "win" in it for them.
Lieberman I expected, Hillary I expected but am not surprised about, but Obama?

Clearly his political acumen is overrated.

2. Fuck you, Hillary
I knew I couldn't believe my ears when I heard MY SENATOR would stand.

What the fuck was up with that false list??

23. I take that back, too
None of them stood with Boxer, it's obvious this was the "plan".

The list of Senators that came out before this got a lot of us confused, here.

I'm still confused about that, honestly.

3. This reminds me of the Iraq Resolution vote
There were some beautiful speeches from Dems, but in the end, they voted to give the giggling murderer anything he wanted.

4. They stood up to talk about the need for election reform.
They did not contest that Bush shouldn't have won Ohio. It's a smart move - one that states clearly that this was about voter fraud and not a partisan move to block Bush from being re-elected.

13. It was symbolic
It was a symbolic stand with Boxer that only Levin had the balls to make.

15. I take it back
Levin voted no. It was only Boxer that had the guts to do this.

27. No, it's not a smart move.
This is an opportunity for Repugs to paint the entire party as flip-floppers, and not just Kerry. And rightfully so.

Their choice was clear. If the allegations of possible election fraud were substantial enough to be supported rhetorically, then they were substantial enough for a supporting vote. A vote didn't mean that there was fraud, just that it was likely enough to cast a reasonable doubt on the fitness of the electoral vote. If it wasn't substantial enough for a vote, then their rhetoric was meaningless.

When Dems like Hillary vote their rhetoric, they'll cease to be seen as Repub-lites/DINOs.

Good speech now in the House from a New Yorker.
Sheila Jackson to speak.

24. board member of The Nixon Center
http://www.nixoncenter.org/boardac.htm

check out that list to see the company he keeps

I, also, note that Lee Hamilton is part of the "Advisory Council" ... is it a wonder he was chosen as 'the Democrat' to head up the 911 Commission?

power and money seem to be a forceful common denominator amongst the good ol'boys (as well as having dirty hands ... makes it more difficult to be a voice for 'integrity' ... something you either have or you don't)

electing people like this.

We lost this race the day the DLC shoved Kerry on us.

25. Rise up and March Forth from here!
find your local groups and effect change on the local level.

Be supportive of the senators who stood up and spoke out! Call them and thank them.

Be super supportive and vote for Boxer as President in 08. what she did today was the most difficult thing a Senator can do. She was honest and spoke from her heart. She put her neck on the line. Senator Boxer is what democracy looks like and it looks good on her!

For the rest of the slimey bastards who said nothing and did nothing

do everything in your power to remove them. They are the deadwood on the tree of democracy and we need only healthy, growing branches on this tree.

Thanks Will for all of your hardwork you are awesome.

You are what investigative journalists used to be like!
