A retort to the Republican comments in the house.
What I would tell the Republicans if I had a chance on the floor right now:

1. There IS a shred of evidence. Ther are MANY shreds of evidence. There are at least 36 shreds of evidence that Sec. of State Blackwell was asked to respond to. The fact that he refused to answer to them does not negate them.

2. The statement that Bush won by a huge margin and therefore the election should not be investigated is ridiculous. It is not even certain that Bush won squarely, BECAUSE we have not had the chance to investigate thoroughly.

3. Yes, there was a recount in Ohio that confirmed a Bush win. But recounting fraudulent results yeilds only the same fraudulent results. This argument proves nothing.

4. Election reform, and debating election problems has NOTHING to do with terrorism, noble Americans, and war. Please stop using those hot button words. In fact, making sure we have fair elections is as patriotic and American as it gets, so we will take your attempts to block our efforts to bring problems to light and correct voter suppression as UNAMERICAN and UNPATRIOTIC.

5. Why don't we discuss other voter irregularities in other states? YES, LET'S. Thanks for bringing it up. Let's talk about it all. Clearly you agree that there is a problem with elections, since you cite all this Republican voter suppression. Let's fix the system.
