Beneath the surface the Dems now know that they are going to have to get their shit together or see a huge exodus to the greens, independents, etc. The old guard will have to move or get out of the way.

Fuck the Repugs - they can roll their eyes all they want. We're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore.

...that many DUer's have been saying over the weeks that those are the headlines that would be written if it went this far. We were shouted off. With a more open mind, we may have been able to construct a rational strategy.
