Your opinion: Are the Reps corrupt, stupid or is it Cognitive Dissonance? |
|
What is YOUR opinion on this?
#1 These people REALLY believe that there was no election fraud
OR
#2 They know damn well that there was election fruad and they are so cynical and partisan that they don't care.
OR
#3 Are they afflicted with Cognitive Dissonance... They are not really listening to the evidence and are filtering out anything that might conflict with their "beliefs."
I tend to think it is either #2 or #3. None of these people are THAT stupid in my opinion.

A few instances of Cognitive Dissonance, maybe. The leadership is corrupt to the core.

All of the above. They are lying, shitbags who put |
|
partisanship over country. Today is a good day for the Dems and there is nothing that can take that away from history. We have taken the first step on a long journey.

13. I believe that it's a combo of 2 and 3 |
|
What I don't quite understand is why they are tolerating such a sharp lurching to the right, with complete disregard for fiscal responsibility.
I know that the repugs within my own family are mostly 1) misinformed 2) like to think of themselves as being in the party of afluence and wealth and 3) hate to admit they are wrong!

Republicans create their own reality.
That's what they believe and that's how they operate.
The rest of us are left to study what they create.
Ron Suskind reported these statements being said from the highest quarters in the * administration.

17. Aren't #1 and #3 kind of similar? |
|
In other words, if they have cognitive dissonance, isn't it as if they really believe there was no fraud?
Anyway, my guess is it differs depending on the individual, but I would guess most of them are suffering from SEVERE cognitive dissonance. I wonder if they'll ever allow the truth to shine into their closed, partisan minds.

19. A few are corrupt, most are apathetic to problems |
|
Like a Booze store operator said (as reported by some other thread here) "I'm not worried" about the possibility of fraud in Ohio. Most Republicans seem to not care enough to look at the evidence. A large precentage of Democrats are the same, actually.
But it is irresponsible and therefore corrupt for leaders to not care about the possible evidence of fraud. What we heard from many Republican members of Congress attacking the challenge was simply shamefully irresponsible, and therefore evidence of their corruption.

when they are threatened with staying the party line or the RNC will make sure they never win an election again, or when they recruit a new candidate and guarantee they'll win that they WILL be able to follow through, and you know how they can guarantee that....
