Will Pitt's observation
I agree whole heartedly...From his blog, http://www.truthout.org/fyi
--

"It took an incredible amount of effort to get several Democrats to get up and say basically the same thing in support of each other. It was a war to get that done.

The GOP sticks to their message with ease, almost automatically, preternatuarally.

That's a trick the Democrats need to learn."

3. I don't agree...
It's more about having a coherent message and a common direction. It's not about being automotons.

Dynamic yet still knowing where we are heading...

4. I agree...
I have to hand it to the Republicans...they have party unity, and THAT'S why they win. Flame me if you want, but it's true.

Not that I EVER want to become one, but still...the fuggers DO stick together.

6. I agree with this statement from his blog:
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 03:50 PM by Dover
Pelosi- "The right to vote is sacred."

The House will accept Bush and Cheney's victory, this isn't about rejecting that, so let's be respectful. There are problems with the electoral system. It is about election reform.

(Crazy, when you think about it. Pelosi and the others accept the results but discuss a busted system. In other words, the election system in America is broken...but it also worked.)

7. I'm very proud of the Democrats
They could have wimped out and they didn't. I think they've empowered themselves and us. I think that what they did took a lot of courage, was a very big risk, and I'm proud that they did they figured out a way in which they could accomplishh something and they did it.

After 2 yrs for the senate, longer for the house, they've been repressed and I think it's great they did what they did, it will be good for all of us.

8. yes, Housewolf
They're fighting not only a corrupt electoral system, but they will also have to fight the corrupt American Media.

It takes a lot of guts, and it will be a long battle.

10. THEY DID WIMP OUT!!!
Just getting up and making a speech is no reason to heap praise on our cowardly representatives. They needed to demonstrate a backbone and vote AGAINST certifying the Ohion electors. Only Boxer did that on the Senate side. Only one lonely Democrat. She is my hero. The others...I wouldn't throw them a rope if they were drowning in their own excrement.

People on this board need to toughen up and DEMAND more from our supposed leaders. "Proud day to be a Democrat" I almost puked on the floor. If they can't lead we need to remove them. Clinton, Obama and all the rest who flapped their yaps but voted "Nay" anyway. They will never get my vote for higher office.
