A wonderful thing is happening today! Instead of (s)Election 2004
being allowed to go unchallenged, at least some members of Congress had the courage to stand. This was the last thing $hrubco wanted to see. They had hoped they would assume power with no argument, and that Congress would just roll over. WRONG!!! This is just the beginning. We now know democracy, however wounded, is not dead in the United States.

Now, our number one issue, our main message, our rallying point is NO MORE DIRTY ELECTIONS. NO MORE ELECTIONS RUN BY ONE PARTY. NOW IS THE TIME TO DEMAND WHOLESALE, ACROSS-THE-BOARD ELECTION REFORM.

We have a position that can't be marginalized. Our patriotism cannot be impugned by demanding election reform. We have the beginning of a movement. Tomorrow begins today.

4. so here's an issue (talking point)
that we can all rally around

ELECTION REFORM

ELECTION REFORM

ELECTION REFORM

I like that better than voting reform as voting is just PART of the process

keep saying it

let's do it like the rethugs - they hammer an issue to death with their stupid talking points (if I hear one more idiot tell me that the Geneva Convention doesn't apply to terrorists because they aren't uniformed soldiers I'm going to scream - where do they get this garbage?)

let's keep this up

ELECTION REFORM

8. Elections AREN'T won on the issues any more
Haven't you been paying attention? We win on the issues. We need to frame the issues so that they will resonate with the voters. And we need fair elections.

10. First of all, it wasn't 4 million votes.
And either you care about transparent and fair elections or you don't. And if you don't, you belong on another board with others who don't care about making every vote count.

read the 100 page thing from Conyers. It is not ridiculous to want clean elections. Look at the evidence. There is merit.

9. Talking Point Number One: Citizens of the United States, no matter
their political affiliation should NEVER have to wonder whether an election was fair and accurately reflected the will of the people.

All elections should be unbiased and transparent. The United States should immediately adopt the Oregon election model. All elections should be mail-in. All ballots MUST be counted by hand by impartial election workers and verified by all parties.

The federal government should immediately nationalize the entire election infrastructure. Elections in the United States, especially at the federal level, are far too important to leave in private hands.

12. what are you talking about?
You tell me you are against CLEAN and FAIR elections?

What the hell does this have to do with clean and fair elections? This is why we lose, because people like you dont understand that we lose. The irregularities found in the 2004 election happened on both sides.

"Right after the elections, the Orange County elections office Web site showed that Kerry had won over Bush in that county by 9,227. But officials working for the Orange elections supervisor said the correct totals, which are available elsewhere on the site, show that Kerry won by only 827 votes. The 8,400 extra votes were caused by an error when counting the votes precint by precint."

17. Stevo- don't you want that Democratic fraud checked out?
I sure do. That one in the democrats favor and the thousands of others that went in Bushes favor.

There is nowhere to "move on" to . . . without clean elections.
