List the SPIN the Repugs have said about EXIT POLLING Here |
|
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 10:43 PM by batchdem04
So far, I have this :
* Exit polling oversampled Blacks * Exit polling oversampled Women * The republican voters were "afraid" to tell the exit pollsters they voted for Bush * Republican voters were told to lie to pollsters * Kerry voters were more enthusiastic and wanted to talk to the exit pollsters (Lizzy) * Exit polling isn't reliable (inmania)
Thats 6 so far, thats 2 excuses per day since the election!
You guys got any more?

1. The best one-Kerry voters were more enthusiastic |
|
and wanted to talk to pollsters, while less enthusiastic Bush voters didn't. And yet apparently non-enthusiastic Bush voters showed up to vote for him in droves.

There was a reporter on Cspan this evening from the Washington Post saying that it was because Women vote during the afternoon because they are at home. Where as the men vote on their way home from work and they voted for Bush . It made me ill when I heard that one.

6. The Two Undeniable Facts About the Exit Polls are: |
|
1. They correlate closely with voting tallies in every case except those states using BBV;
2. There are no instances, to my knowledge, where an inaccurate exit poll(s) benefitted Kerry...all gave Chimp anywhere from 5%-7%+ votes.

7. Please, let's not call it spin. Let's call it damage control. |
|
Let's use the English language to our advantage. Spin is much too nice a word. what they are doing is DAMAGE CONTROL.

8. I've always thought that was the best way to catch a liar |
|
You break your leg, you call your employer and say -- I can't come to work, because I broke my leg.
It's a beautiful spring day, and you want to piss off in the wilderness or go sailing: "Uh, I, uh don't feel that great -- uh, and my car broke down and uh, I stayed out all night last night, because it was, uh the anniversary of the death of my Aunt Tainy -- and it was really hard, thinking about it, and that's why I can't come to work."
I've caught my own self in this lie, before.

9. Why do they work in some places and not others? |
|
I think we've pretty much shown that the exit polls fail ONLY in electronic voting states.
They work great in the paper-ballot states.
They don't conduct the polls differently in different states... what is the only difference?
The difference is the way they count the votes.
Explain that away...
